When we went to our cabin after dinner we had a surprise from the concierge.   A few days ago the concierge and I were talking.  I mentioned that the silk peanut butter pie was missing from the embarkation lunch.

The picture was taken after we each had a piece.  It was soooo good.  The rest tomorrow with champagne.

I'll tell Sue to try that.   She loves the peanut butter pie.

On the lido the Asian area is the best spot on the ship to eat.

Regardless of the ship, the Asian corner of the Lido Restaurant offers a different Asian cuisine each day that is well prepared and encourages "exploring".  In my experience, when I see the ship's Officers in the Lido for lunch, this is the station where many of them are patronizing.

Good Morning,  today is our last full day on the ship.  The sun looks like it wants to make an appearance.

So far immigration hasn't come on board.  Over an hour late.

Today we finally did an excursion that had been cancelled twice before.  It was a Walk on the Ocean Floor at the Bay of Fundy.  It was a beautiful experience.  A few pictures.

Good Morning,  we are back in Boston.   We had to go through a customs check at 7 am. I adopted two cats that are very sparkly from Effy.  DH bought some other shiny objects.   All good. US goods returning to US so no problem.   One final breakfast at the Pinnacle Grill.  We are self disembarking so will walk off in a few minutes,  our ride is expected to arrive at 9.

Disembarkation was a breeze, just use your card to check out and your done.  One observation while we waited for our ride.  The line for taxis was moving very slowly, cabs came sporadically.  Very different than Port Everglades.  If you used a porter to take your bags to the taxi line you became next in line.

I learned that lesson some time ago.  Regardless of the port, using a Porter is worth whatever gratuity one wishes to give.

Same thing when I was on the Celebrity Solstice - many officers were dining in Sushi on Five.  There were a couple of day were we were visiting ports very close to each other, and it appeared that there were visitors / business meetings happening.  It was Sushi on Five that was being used to dine these visitors.

I was on the same 2 week cruise. I thought the entertainment was great especially the comedian. It was disappointing not to see passengers giving out extra tip envelopes. The staff and crew were wonderful throughout.

I was also on this cruise and agree the crew was wonderful. We added tips for our Neptune concierge, dining stewards and room stewards plus tipped our casino servers.

It was my first Neptune stay so I hope it was appropriate to tip the concierge - she was lovely!

Most people are very discrete when giving out the extra tips. We are, as are our cruising friends.  So hopefully you just didn't see most of them.

Hello! We are going on the Zaandam Boston to Montreal cruise August 13-20. We've enjoyed reading your posts! Could you tell us which night(s) were Gala evenings where people dressed in what used to be called Formal? Trying to figure out if it's one or two dressy nights on this ship. Can you tell us anything about dressing in orange one of the nights? One more question - do you happen to have a full collection of pictures of the When and Where / Daily Programs? Thanks!

I don’t remember which nights were dressy/gala nights.  It was two nights. Each days When and Where are posted in this thread. During the Orange party they encourage everyone to wear something orange and drinks were served at happy hour prices.

Thank you so much for your replies! Would you be willing to send images, including the front page, of the Daily Programs from each day? It looks like the formal nights are probably listed there with the "Tonight's Attire:" headline and Today's Highlights. We looked at all of the Daily Programs you posted photos of (very helpful-thank you!) and none from the Boston-to-Montreal leg has the front page. We really appreciate your help!
