@Roz  Some may, but Celebrity and Princess do not.

(Forcing everyone in a stateroom to get the same--or any--drinks package)

Correct. We found that Oceania does allow variance in any configuration..

Allow on board credit to be used for advance online booking of shore excursions.

This is already in place. We booked all of our shorex for upcoming cruise with OBC--and cancelled one and OBC was returned to our account.

Toot your horn more.... The artwork is stunning, but someone needs to build a brochure. Some folks like to stroll about the ship enjoying all you offer. Guest services did print me a 22 page color double sided document that gave photo and title.

YESSS! They are losing out here. Will spare you our long dramatic story about that on the Kdam when it was new. You'd'a thought were we trying to steal the art...

Over the years I have seen a number of threads titled "HAL, are you listening?"

To date, HAL has never indicated that they are.

I have to admit that I laugh when I walk by a stateroom door with "Cruise Critic" magnets like anyone cares.  Oh, I expect they think they will be treated better or something like that.  Haha!

Another vote for bringing back the 14 day itinerary out of Seattle! We loved visiting Anchorage, Homer and Kodiak!'

DH would like to see the return of the cold soups. We're currently on the Crown Princess and there's a cold soup on the menu every night. Tonight's is Alaska Berry. There is also a hot soup each night.

The production shows. I hadn't realized how much I missed them until I attended the ones on Princess this cruise. The dancing ones are fine but I miss the singers and dancers.

@sofietucker I just called, and they wouldn't let me use the OBC directly.  I had to pay as I book, then go to the ShoreEx desk at boarding and (optimistically) they will refund.  This seems astonishingly inefficient, but if it works it's at least acceptable.  I guess it's all about cash flow.

Geez. Did you book your shorex online? We just went into our booking, then manage my cruise), where it showed our promotional OBC credit. There it showed the amount available for shorex, plus "*Shore excursions credit will automatically be applied in the cart to the highest valued shore excursions.". Then clicked on that link and it took me to the itinerary. Click on the day (calendar banner below top photo). Chose shorex to purchase. Then it automatically applied our OBC.

The Shore Excursion credit is NOT the same as OBC. Shore Excursion credit can be used before boarding. OBC cannot.

Match what Princess does with their Beverage Packages: Include it at Half Moon Cay and for in-room delivery.

Match what Princess does and come up with Balcony Breakfasts & Balcony Dinners...... HAL's balconies are already "bigger & better"! 👍

I would LOVE if they would put together an art tour in some form or another.  I want to know the artist’s perspective.  Electronic, hard copy, or lead by a guide; all are welcome.  They could even break it up into segments for different sea days.  Or make it into a scavenger hunt with a winner announced on the final sea day!

Live piano music in the Ocean Bar everyday from 4-6pm, hot Hors d'oeuvre during those hours too.  Those 2 things would go a long way to bring some class back to HAL

There was live piano music in the Ocean bar on our June Alaskan cruise, but I don't think we had it on out Panama Sunfarer last December. Maybe it is itinerary specific or just coming back?

They can order a non-alcoholic drink pkg.

Thanks so just to be clear I can get the alcohol drink pkg and the minor in the same room can just get the juice pkg correct?

Wouldnt want to pay for 2 alcohol packages if only 1 can/will be used.

We've made our own game out of climbing the stairs in each stairwell--over the course of the cruise, not all at once!--and checking out that art, a lot of which which we'd probably miss otherwise. And some amazing art in the lobbies, of places we wouldn't normally go, like the Hal's kids club.  Inside the tippity-top decks' passageways, etc. Or on the "other side" of a 2- entrance place such as the Crow's Nest, theater (and different levels thereof). Plus, I'd usually never darken the doors of the casinos but have encountered some great art in there, so now at least peek in...

Great ideas! Agree the artwork needs to be highlighted more, as many guests would be interested.

For those wanting to listen to the old Art Tours HAL used to have for guests to download or borrow an mp3 player onboard, they may be found linked on this Thread, taken from archives:

Add one more to the list for 14-day Alaska itineraries - and a stop in Homer.  It's my favorite spot in all of Alaska.  I did this on the Zaandam a few years ago, but nobody seems to stop in Homer anymore.  The trip I took was R/T Seattle, but Vancouver would be fine, too!

The Know Before You Go still has “hot hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hours” listed. I’ve been told they’re still available in some lounges upon request.
