Basically anything that gets charged to your SeaPass account. 😃

Upgrades for beverage or internet packages, excursions, pedicure, manicure, spa, salon, onboard activities (look at your Cruise Planner to get an idea of things offered), specialty restaurants, the shops, etc...

Can you use the OBC to pre-book speciality dining or shore excursions, or do you have to wait until you get on board?

If the OBC is showing in your Cruise Planner before you board, Yes.

If it’s OBC from your travel agent that may not show up until you are onboard, then no.

How much OBC do others get from their TA?? just curious ? we just got $100 from our travel agent the last couple cruises .

The last TA we used for our March 2022 RC B2B Caribbean cruise we got $100.00 OBC plus gratuities for each leg. Took the TA OBCs home.

We have a nice onboard credit from our travel agent. Already have the standard drink packages, etc. What do you suggest is the best use for the credit? Can I use it while on the ship to upgrade packages? How would that work?

Thanks for suggestions!

Get a bottle of Opus One or such wine or champagne.  Make it a memorable experience.

Should be noted that there are two types of OBC  -

Refundable  -  Most credits from TA's are refundable and if not used can either be cashed out at front desk on last day of cruise or will be credited to you credit card.

Non-Refundable -  usually as part of booking.     These can be used for any purchase on the ship as well as giving extra gratuities to staff members by filling out a form at front desk.   We often use them for Specialty Dinning and Tours

When one charges anything it is applied to Non-Refundable first

If we have refundable credit from TA which isn’t used, does it automatically go back on our credit card after the cruise or do we need to do something?

Yes.   I prefer to cash out at front desk so I don't loose 3X millage from Chase Sapphire Rewards.
