Will I be considered Platinum?

I will have 61 VIFP days when I start my 14 day cruise in October. I’ll reach platinum status on the last day of the cruise.

Will my status change on that day, or will I be considered platinum upon check-in?

look at the luggage tag, it says priority/platinum then you will be platinum on check in

Never mind, I found the answer on Carnival’s site: Looks like I’ll be cruising Platinun😀

 

Guests graduating into a new level during a cruise will receive the benefits of the new level they are graduating into from the beginning of the cruise (e.g. those graduating to Gold on the 3rd day of a 5-day cruise will receive Gold benefits for the entire duration of their cruise). Please note that ‘debarkation day’ is not considered a ‘cruise day’, therefore, points are not earned for that day.

You will be platinum on the first day of the cruise.  However, if this is a Journey's cruise there is no priority boarding as most on the cruise will be platinum and diamond.  You can still check in to the cruise at 16 days to try and get one of the early boarding times.

This happened to me last week. I hit 75 days on the last day of the cruise but was platinum the whole time, including two day earlier check in.

Congrats and enjoy this Carnival perk!   If you were sailing on Royal, you would not get the loyalty tier "bump" until afterward.   😮

I think you will be. We turned gold on our cruise we just went on and we started the cruise with gold cards.

When you say “last day of the cruise” do you mean the last day you are sailing or the day you get off the ship?  Carnival does not include debarkation day.  As one poster stated, look at your luggage tags to see what they say.

Oh, man.  So close, and yet so far.  

 

I'm 6 nights short of Platinum on Carnival...but our October cruise on the Horizon is a 7-night cruise.  🙂

OP says they have 61 days currently and it's a 14 day cruise, so they must have meant the last full day since that will give them the 75 days required for platinum.

Hi.  So looking at the responses,  I might be able to answer my own question here. But, I just like speaking with fellow cruisers anyway.  We will be at 60 days after our next cruise. Then we are going on a back to back.... first one is 8 days and the 2nd is 7 days.  So we will be at 75 on the last SEA day of the 2nd part of the back to back cruise. I am feeling like we would be gold still for the first part of the back to back but hope we get the Platinum Sail and Sign cards for the 2nd cruise.

I've honestly heard both yes and no answers.  Obviously you'll want the cruises linked at B2B. And an 8 plus a 7?? 🤔  You sure this isn't a SbS? (Different ship.)  Let us know!

It's the same ship :-),  the Celebration out of Miami. The 8 day is the "ABC" islands,  then back to Miami,  then Grand Turk,  Amber Cove, and Nassau. Gonna be quite a trip.

Yes, as long as the cruise says 8 day, 7 day or 14 day, whatever it says, it counts those days.

I have 192 days, and booked an 8 day cruise for April 8th, When I did the check in, boarding

pass said Diamond, so did the luggage tags. Made Diamond on the 8th day, but counted

from the first day of the cruise.

Congrats! I was more concerned because it's a back to back/non-continuous cruise that added up to the 15 days.  A lot of money goes into these cruises.  I want my perks!! Lol.
