POT smoking on balcony?

We took a picture of a pot store in New York earlier this year and there was a large no smoking sign in the store 😁😁

Not exactly surprising.  Retailers of "normal" cigarettes usually don't allow smoking in the store either.

True, but a-la "Pulp Fiction"/Amsterdam it may be legal but you're not allowed to just spark one up in the casino.

That is true but we have noticed some people in the casino vaping thc while playing on the slots.

I agree with that having a separate area I believe Las Vegas is starting up cannabis lounges.  Maybe cruise lines will follow.

Cruise lines home ported in US are under Federal Law, not state law.  Until Federal Law is changed, there won't be separate cannabis lounges.

So if security cannot tell the difference between pot smoke and a skunk they need some training!

Not much training is required. Experiencing one of them might make you forgetful. The other one you'll never forget.

The problem is the stuff is illegal in some ports,  ie. Bermuda,  that have brought their own dogs onboard to sniff out illegal stuff.  Some people don't understand that what's legal in one state might not be legal elsewhere.

I was sent a bottle of wine from an officer that asked to come into our cabin to be able to peer around our balcony to see the pot smokers next to us.  They were busted...not once but twice.

On 2 Cruises the Cabin next to me were smoking Cigarettes, 3rd one it was Pot. All 3 caught after my Call's. At least 2 were charged the Cabin Cleaning Fine, was told 3rd one was also but can't confirm it. I received $$$ in FCC for 2 of them. Couple months ago a Passenger was walking around the Ship into Centrum Vaping, Crew stopped him

Your post seemed to imply security could not tell the difference. Hence the training suggestion. 😉

Well, depending on the strain, some skunks can't even tell the difference between the smell(s). Or, so I've heard.

We were on Oasis November 5th to 12th and experienced the same issue.  It was so intense that we noticed it as soon as we entered our room after dinner on our first night.  When i pulled back the curtain to the sliding door, it was so strong that you would have thought the slider had been left open. It was closed and locked.   Our room attendant was in the hall and when asked to come in , he noticed the smell right away.  He  immediately got on the phone with his supervisor and explained how intense it was. I was told that they would look into it.    The problem continued  so I called security on nights two and three and was told that  they take it very seriously.

Unfortunately It continued to happen at random times  often preventing us from enjoying the balcony in the evening.

Why don't they just take edibles?

Helps with Smoke/smell but it still isn't allowed onboard. Saw Drug Dog on Royal Ship a couple times, have even seen passengers removed in Miami wearing Handcuffs but nothing recent.
