Has anyone got a video or pictures of an accessible inside cabin please

I would guess that most folks on this thread are going on the Sun for the first time.  You would have better luck with answering this question by going to the web site I mentioned above ( www.cruisedeckplans.com ) and looking to see if others have submitted photos or videos of the inside accessible cabins.  Or, go to YouTube and search for Sun Princess cabin reviews.

I have seen lots of great photos and reviews of the sideways inside cabins on many Princess ships, but I can't find any details on these sideways cabins on the Sun.  They only have a few of them on decks 15 and 17 aft, and 10 and 11 forward.  Has anyone stayed in one of these cabins on the Sun, and can you please share some photos of the layout?  Is it the same layout as the ones on other ships where the entry door is in the middle of the cabin, and the bed is on one side, and an elongated desk is on the other side, with the bathroom, closet and lots of shelving around the corner behind the desk?  I am seriously considering one of these cabins for an upcoming cruise, but just want to know what I'm signing up for!  Thanks in advance!

There are photos of 11617 on the one website that focuses on cruise ship deck plans.

If you are not able to access them all, then let me know.

There is also a general photo of the hallway, taken right outside the door of this cabin.

It can be hard to see details, but it appears that it is layed out like a smaller version of an OV cabin.  The doorway is not 'recessed', and is almost even flush with the hallway.

It does not appear that the door opens in the middle of the main area....

Not sure how the bath is located???

Hope this helps!

I think it might look like this....  Bed is on the sidewall, not the back wall.

| bath \                      |           |  |

Thank you for your reply and the schematic of the cabin layout!  That is very disappointing since it seems to have way less counter and shelving space versus the Royal class’s sideways interiors.

Has anyone actually stayed in one of these cabins who can verify for certain what the layout is?

Also, the deck plans on princess.com show 11617 as a mini-suite, not an inside cabin… I can only hope that it is a different layout 🤞🤞

I think this was a mistype - 17617 is a sideways inside cabin with pictures on cruisedeckplans. They were also posted on FB (credit Dawn D.) but with people in them so faces been blanked out.

Terrible location for the TV. Almost impossible to watch for the bed next to it. If the beds were made up as a queen...how do you watch TV? Sit on the bench or the floor?

Oh wow, that is very different from what I was expecting based on the other sideways inside cabins on the last few ships.  It still seems like it will feel bigger than a regular inside cabin with all of that floor space when you first enter.  Too bad it doesn't have the extra closet and desk space of the other layout!

I watch a ton of TV at home, but on a cruise, I never even turn the TV on while on a cruise.  There's way more exciting things to do!  I do agree that is an absurd place to put the TV for people who do want to watch it.

The mini suites on Sun will always have the sofa by the balcony. The alternating part of the configuration will be bed by the bath then closet and desk section or closet and desk section then bed.  We prefer the closet and desk section by the bath as it opens up the room and you don't run into the bed immediately. The Sun cabins are quite narrow.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this is only for the standard minisuites. I believe the cabana mini suites do indeed have either couch or bed right next to the balcony.

We haven't experience the S9 signature suite (15606) yet but that cabin description is
"Sanctuary Benefits Bed By Entrance".  The S9 next door (15608) is described a "Sanctuary Benefits Sofa By Entrance". Even though both show a picture with the bed by the entrance the deck plan supports the differentiation.

We reserved 15606 instead of 15608 specifically because we like the sofa next to the balcony.

The deck plans shows

Same here….and in my case not just a preference for looking outside from the couch, but my bladder requires the bed near bathroom lol.

It also has you lying on a bed in line with the direction of travel which is my other half's requirement - he needs to be facing forward lol

That might depend on what side of the ship you’re on…..it looks like port side means bed near bathroom faces forward, but starboard side is the opposite.

True but I was referring specifically to 15606 which they had booked - it's apparent from the deck plan pic shown.

Correct, as the interior room portion is the exact same size and layouts as a deluxe Balcony cabin..  so, alternates bed by balcony, bed by entrance.  And no curtain separating bed from sofa area..

The extra space is the Cabana itself

Port side Cabana Mini suite, couch beside bathroom. If you booked online, it is noted when cabin is chosen. It does not refer to location of couch when you receive booking confirmation, only in ("notes- in cruise summary"). But diagram is conflicting to what "notes" depict.

Has anyone stayed or have photos of 10106  a forward, strange shaped ocean view.
TIA.

We are booked in 11118 coming up in November so I check regularly on Cruisedeckplans.com to see if anyone posted any photos in that area and to date there aren't any.  The only thing we know for sure is that cabins in that area have metal below the railing on the balcony.

You are correct that the view is going to be not only strange, but great.  Enjoy and post some photos on the web site above and get paid for doing so.

No, but we did go past the Oceanview window for 10106 when walking around the secret deck outside. It's a lovely outside space!
