I'm so saddened by this news. He fought such a battle to try and recover and Tija gave him such wonderful care. May she find peace in happy memories. My condolences to all their family and friends.

Thanks Lisa, for letting everyone know about Patrick. He fought a good fight for 13 months. We never met him & Tija, but thru these boards, sort of felt like we knew them a little bit.

 

I remember that they celebrated a milestone anniversary on that glorious Voyage of the Spammed a couple of years ago. And were initially booked on Eurodam's inaugural. John & I were truly looking forward to meeting this lovely, inspiring couple.

 

Now........Patrick's at peace. We'll be thinking of Tija & her family in the days & weeks to come.

I'm so sorry to hear the news about Patrick. It's strange because all day yesterday I kept thinking that I had to send another card off to see how he was doing and wish them both well. Blessings on Tija and the family.

So sorry to hear this bad news. We were thinking about them during the Eurodam cruise as they had been booked (and had cancelled) for this cruise.

Thery were such a nice happy couple.

Those of us currently aboard the Eurodam have heard the news and are offering up our deepest condolences and prayers for Tija. Patrick was a real prince ... he had to be, being married to such a regal woman as Tija. May God's blessings be on her during this difficult time. Patrick is no longer suffering ... may Tija be gifted with grace to get through this difficult time.

Very sorry to hear this.

 

I also never had the pleasure of meeting them, but they sounded like wonderful people. I had followed this thread with everyone here offering my prayers for Patrick.

 

My thoughts and prayers to Tija and her family.

I am so sorry to hear of Patrick's passing. I did have the joyful pleasure of meeting Patrick and Tija on the Spamdammers cruise to Hawaii, 21 months ago, when they celebrated their 50th anniversary. My thoughts are certainly with Tija at this difficult time.

I'm so saddened by the news of Pat's passing. I really enjoyed meeting them during their trip to Hawaii.

 

Pat will definately be missed.

 

My prayers go out to Tija and their family for comfort and healing during this difficult time.

What a sad day - I heard via text from Scotty today when I was at the office.

 

I wish I'd been able to meet Patrick as Scotty holds he and Tija in such high regard - My thoughts are with her now.
