We were on the Regal for a B2B from February4-18, 2018. At that time the Captain was Fabrizio Maresca and the Cruise Director was Alexandra (Lexi) Comley. We were excited to see that Billy Hygate was the Entertainment Director. He did come to the Cruise Critic Meet N Greet. His new job(it was his choice) has him pretty much in an office behind the scenes job with more regular hours on the ship.

I got the email today too, about the Star in June...we get Captain Tuvo! Yay!! From what I've seen of him on Twitter he's fabulous.

He is the best captain we have ever had 40 plus cruises and 5 different lines. You will see him all over the ship

He has just been on a mini series about Alaska in the UK where he was the captain and yes you are right, he was all over the ship. He was also announcing where to see the wildlife to the passengers. Brilliant mini series. He was Captain of the Star Princess on the show so it must be his regular ship.

He was excellent on the show; I was hoping he would be on our Grand sailing - wishful thinking :D.

Has anyone sailed with Captain John Foster? He is on the Golden according to the list.

 

He was our captain on the golden Dec 2016 , we met him on the Ultimate Ship Tour, nice chap.. That was a good cruise but we did strike bad weather and had a change on plans.

 

In Jan 2018 on the golden we had Captain Aldo Traverso

We just got an email from Princess titled a message from your captain on your Aug 2 sailing on the Pacific. Only thing is the Capt spot was signed "Your Captain". No real name whatsoever. Weird!!

 

 

I am thinking that this could be one of 2 things, how many times have got those notices and there was a change of captains or it is a security issue. There was a time the convenor of a M&G could get an officer list, but for security reasons that is no longer the case.
