Michele Tuvo was the captain on my Hawaii cruise on the Star. He is great. He is the most personable captain I have sailed with. He was everywhere around the ship. He even served passengers in the international cafe. I really enjoyed sailing with him.

We just got notified that on our upcoming May 27 cruise to AK on the Coral that Michele Tuvo will be our captain. Not sure how to update this list. Also, does anyone know anything about him?

Honestly, I never cared about who the captain was until my last cruise and Michele was the captain. He was by far the best. He was always out, very funny, he did Celebrity Liar's Club and was hilarious! Definitely added to an amazing cruise. You are in for a real treat! "Bye Bye"!! (You'll get that reference soon 😁)

I just saw a Patter from an Alaskan Ruby cruise and it shows the Captain as Giorgio Pomata, 5/14/2017, then Giuseppe Romano coming on board 5/16/2017. Does anyone know what ship Captain Pomata will be on next?

I'm confused as to who is the Captain on the Pacific and who it will be when we board later this month. I haven't gotten any email from Princess indicating the Captain and/or the CD so far.

 

On the most recent list above it shows Captain Maresca, but then it also says he assumed command of the Regal in August, in the absence (I am guessing vacation) of Captain Stringer, who is apparently scheduled to return in October.

 

So which ship is Captain Maresca actually on now?

 

If not Maresca, then who is captaining the Pacific?

 

According to the list, Captain Slight is expected to assume her command in November.

 

Any thoughts as to who I might anticipate being Captain on the Pacific in 3 weeks?

I'm confused as to who is the Captain on the Pacific and who it will be when we board later this month. I haven't gotten any email from Princess indicating the Captain and/or the CD so far.

 

On the most recent list above it shows Captain Maresca, but then it also says he assumed command of the Regal in August, in the absence (I am guessing vacation) of Captain Stringer, who is apparently scheduled to return in October.

 

So which ship is Captain Maresca actually on now?

 

If not Maresca, then who is captaining the Pacific?

 

According to the list, Captain Slight is expected to assume her command in November.

 

Any thoughts as to who I might anticipate being Captain on the Pacific in 3 weeks?

 

I believe it will be Captain Jack Sparrow;p

All I care is if he and his crew get us where we are going safely and on time - in that order.

 

He did get us to our final destination safely and on-time. And I don't have the information needed to debate whether we really needed to skip two planned ports, one of which another cruise line made it into on the same day we were to be there approaching from the same general direction we would have and with the same onward destination. But on his ability to communicate to the passengers (and apparently some of his officers given things we were hearing) what we were doing because of Hurricane Jose, he gets a solid F. His communications were so infrequent and so lacking in detail that they raised more questions than they answered. As I said, I was unimpressed with him.
