Has 24hr room service become 20hr

reading the thread on the Regal and *****, it looks to me that 24 hr room service has gone, it’s now 20hr. Is that correct.

I must confess that I would never know if such a change was made

Oh no say it isn’t so :eek: What will I do know? When I want my oatmeal cookie and there no room service at 3 a.m. :mad: :D.

From what I understand,this is just on the Regal for now, along with the expanded room service.

I try not to eat much after 10pm so it doesn't matter to me. I wonder how many people order food between 2- 5am? They must have been keeping track. If it helps prevent a price increase, that is a good thing. Was on the Regal two months ago and did not hear anything about the change.

But what four hours is it not available? The menu picture just says “20 hours” with no indication of what 20 hours.

I am guessing 2am to 6am no room service, when all the Princess Cruisers should be sleeping soundly in their bunks.:halo::)

I agree it’s not that important, but I always feel it’s chip chip chip away, let’s reduce the product.

They were actually bigger on the Royal in Oct, but they were a Italian brand I recognised.

If you need to be up at 5AM for an early shore excursion how do you do that without a caffeine fix delivered?

Midnight to 4AM would be better IMHO. Some folks get up real early and are in their cabin @ 9PM. I've walked around a ghost ship after 11PM on many cruises.

It would be nice for the Regal to post the hours in the manual.

Does anyone else think this is just a typo? And that it should read "24 hours" as always? The fact that the hours are not defined on the page lends some support...

Hours will be posted each day in the Patter depending on sea day or port day - and if port day, the time arrived and departed:cool:

Fortunately, I only ever order room service 20 hours a day. I need to get 4 hours of sleep before I’m hungry again.

It really seems like a typo to me, but who knows. If they are limiting it to 20 hrs per day then they would usually specify the time interval that it would be available.

Limited room service hours are what you expect at a budget place like Hilton Garden Inn. A place where I suspect that the guy who delivers your room service works the room service requirements of three or more properties "to maximize utilization."
