Smoking in the casino is only at slots one one side of the casino the other half is non smoking

Yeah, like the old "smoking section" in restaurants. Like that does any good. There may not be somebody next to you actively blowing the stuff in your face but it's not like the smoke stays in the "designated area". It's 2023. I don't understand why smoking is still allowed anywhere public.

Hello-- the last few cruises we  were on there were no cigars at all in the humidor. Best to bring along your own for the trip.

Sounds like I should bring my own cigars and not rely on Churchill lounge having a good selection of any.  Thanks for the information.

You can just look on the cruiseline's website for a listing for each ship.  How do you think we smokers find a good place to have a ciggie?  Drift around the ship, up and down the decks until we see someone smoking???  I suspect there's another reason y'all read this thread.

Why do you read this thread?

🤣 Like the website is easy to navigate and easy to find more than the most basic of info.

I've gotten way more info here than on the Princess website. And will continue to look here early and often.

Does anyone know where the smoking areas are on the Discovery Princess. I don't smoke but hubby does and he isn't going to quit. (Not that I have quit bitc#*ing about it. hehe) I have been looking at deck plans but haven't been able to locate any.

All designated smoking areas will be listed in the Princess Patter.

Churchill’s and casino.  Also Deck 17 aft.  The smoking areas are nice.  Deck 17 has couches and chairs.  Part of it is covered.  The Churchill’s has bar seating (no bar) and small tables, chairs, and a couch. There is bar service at both places. I think there is also an outdoor area on Deck 7 but I never checked it out.

We had an aft-facing balcony on Royal Princess on D15 or so.  It was lovely to be able to walk up and enjoy my half a cigarette in that nice area on 17.  I felt almost 'normal' smoking in public; these days one gets weary of being treated like a monster for smoking.

Hi I like to start by saying I never had a cigarette in my life and I don’t like the smell of them.

I do agree with you about how smokers are treated. Some people go to far when it comes to smokers.

Just got off the Emerald. I’m a non smoker and hate the smell, my eyes sting and my hair seems to absorb it. There were few  smokers that were also players. There were not enough slots and the casino was jammed most nights. I hit four hand pays so for sure I wanted to be in there all possible hours. One lovely lady who smoked asked me if I minded if she smoked. I said Idid ( but I didn’t have a leg to stand on as I was in the smoking section ( my favorite machines) but she should go ahead anyway. She decided not to smoke. I was thrilled at such kindness.  I notice few smokers  than years before. Hopefully the habit will just die out.
