You do not need to have Explore4 to get this promotion. Again, it just depends on whether or not your cruise qualifies - see the website for details.

Passed on the additional 400 OBC offereed as the Cruise Month Promo as rebooking would have added 399 per person due to current rate I have from casino discount. Better off leaving lower cruise rate and the current OBC of 200pp offered by that rate. Thanks for the info though. :)

PLUS, your cabin category, apparently. It looks like it only applies to outside and up cabins. Again, inside cabins don't qualify for anything. :(

Another thank you to Dave. I called our TA and she spoke with HAL. She had to rebook our Sept 2016 Mexican cruise. The cruise price remained the same and now we have the explore 4 package and some OBC. In her words "you got a sweet deal".

Just e-mailed my TA to see if I can get it on my two upcoming cruises. Keeping my fingers crossed.:)

 

My TA called and said HAL said no to getting this for my Hawaii cruise. Since I lost my OBC once and my TA had to fight a couple of days to get it back, I didn't want to push for $75. She is still working on my Alaska cruise.

I have a verandah stateroom and my cruise is listed in this promotion, but my PCC said:

 

"I have checked the new promotion and it is unfortunately not combinable with the promotion that you have already. I would be glad to keep an eye out for you for any other new promotions that might apply."

 

If others can get it, not sure why we can't. Oh well.

Our cruise is not on the list.

Our cruise didn't even qualify for Explore4.

Thank you..thank you...thank you DaveOKC ! After reading these posts almost daily, here was one from you that I was not familiar with. I called my TA with AAA and asked him to check for us to see if we qualified on our Alaska 14 day trip next May/June and YES we got an add'l $100 which went along with the other $100 Welcome home credit we already had (learned about it also on Cruise Critic) and also our $100 from HA future cruise certificate PLUS our $100 AAA Group rate PLUS $255 AAA price match with Costco (that we worked hard to get). We now have a grand total of $655 OBC. $Tips will take $336 out which is fine. We have not paid our cruise off in full yet. Purposely leaving us owing about $500 just in case other stuff happens. Our cruise price did NOT go down this time...they just added the $100 for National Cruise Promotion. We PAID awhile back $460 more for the FREE (hahhah) Explore4 for two people for 14 days (good price). Thanks again :D Total price of cruise is about $5800 for two oceanview room.

I usually book with that big box travel and this is my first time with a PPC. Not a good choice so far. Live and learn

You can usually transfer your booking to a TA any time before final payment so you might want to shop around for a good TA.

I emailed my PCC about this promo this morning for my cruise next month. I figured I'd have a zero % chance of getting it and I was right. That said she came back with a very nice upgrade instead. I had a vh guarantee and I was worried about getting a sucky Juliette balcony. Now I have an assigned room. She's the best! Thx for the heads up Dave.

It's always worth a try - do you have a travel agent? A couple of years ago we were going to go on a cruise with my DSIL and her hubby (from Perth, WA) and a promo came up - I suggested she talk to her TA about it - they ended up with a better deal than we had!
