Jezo Posted February 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2016 So yeah.. This. I guess I need to go sail on the Escape now? He seems to have left out all of the old folks in walkers and scooters and chain smokers in the casino.

Two Wheels Only Posted February 13, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Was I the only person identifying parts of the ship? "Hey, that's The Haven...that's The Manhattan Room...they're on deck 17..."
hawkeyetlse Posted February 13, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 13, 2016 What's with the woman slipping her keycard into the guy's pocket? I think she's telling him "Use my UDP to scam a free burger at Margaritaville, while I wait in the hallway outside my locked stateroom".

Kingmaker_inc Posted February 13, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Was I the only person identifying parts of the ship? "Hey, that's The Haven...that's The Manhattan Room...they're on deck 17..." I was doing that... and of course it is a commercial. It is to promote the "Free at Sea" slogan launch of NCL. There is no secret or mystery about that.
zqvol Posted February 13, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 13, 2016 NCL needs to take a serious look at their advertising. If this guy is their spokesperson maybe its time to find another line.
FreestyleNovice Posted February 13, 2016 #11 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Why I am feeling that this Pittbull clip is part of FDR's mid life crisis and not a commercial for a family cruise line? ;) I never ever saw more than 3 attractive women on one and the same NCL ship, let alone in small bikinis on the helo pad. On topic: not a catchy tune, have seen that bow/bridge angle on Happy, dismissed. :)

Dave85 Posted February 13, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 13, 2016 He seems to have left out all of the old folks in walkers and scooters and chain smokers in the casino. LOL, I actually had the same thought when I first saw the NCL TV commercial featuring this song... :p The video paints a somewhat unrealistic video of your typical cruise ship clientele. Also not pictured: chair hogs, the buffet, lines, etc. ;)
Yorkvillain Posted February 13, 2016 #14 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Also not pictured: chair hogs, the buffet, lines, etc. ;) Lol. Kids hanging out on stairs, people packed in pool like sardines, long line at Guest Services.
xcell Posted February 13, 2016 #15 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Someone should make a more real version with this music in the background... wonder if ncl would the sue?? Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk

luvmylilangels Posted February 13, 2016 #17 Share Posted February 13, 2016 I liked it as well. Just one side of the cruise demographic they are trying to reach. This is the type of commercial they will show to the guys like on ESPN etc. Of course there will be a different commercial spot to attract another demographic say like on OWN. I like Pitbull so as a Pitbull fan this spot attracted me. I am already booked on the Escape but it just made me that much more excited seeing it. To each his own.:D
Sotermarler Posted February 13, 2016 #18 Share Posted February 13, 2016 I thought it was ok. But way to much focus on girls than the actual ship.
Casino Comp Chick Posted February 13, 2016 #19 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Is the new NCL demographic pubescent 13 to 16 year old boys? This new guy.... SMDH
Warm-Water Diver Posted February 13, 2016 #20 Share Posted February 13, 2016 I was doing that... and of course it is a commercial. It is to promote the "Free at Sea" slogan launch of NCL. There is no secret or mystery about that. agreed. It's not a video dedicated to his song. It's a song/video dedicated to the NCL commercial. He is the "Godfather" of the ship so what's wrong with that. I'm not huge Pitbull fan, but I don't dislike him either and so far I think all the promos/publicity has been entertaining and mutually benefits both Pitbull and NCL. By the way, sailed once on Escape and LOVED it. Booked for my 2nd trip this December (2016) :)

Aloha 1 Posted February 14, 2016 #23 Share Posted February 14, 2016 What a joke. So, if you're a "millennial" who only cares about "you", NCL is your "thing"? Makes me sorry we booked our first NCL cruise later this month. I expected better from the guy who founded the upscale lines Regent and Oceania.

Maybe you should go back to a high class cruise line and leave us low class to NCL.
