I have been waiting for the T/ A's to be released but am very disappointed with the itineraries. Can't see any that go from Florida,in April next year, around the Caribbean and into Southampton. They are stopping this end. The Indy only has one stop in Ireland. Not sure what we will be doing now.

Has RC lost their marbles? Looked at the 12-day Russian cruise on Navigator and they're looking for $6800 for the cheapest balcony. I booked a later 14-day also on Navigator for $4800 balcony. Amazing price per night differences for 2018.

Can I get some quick input about Vision class (Rhapsody, in particular) corner aft cabins?

What are the differences/advantages of the JS corner on deck 8 vs the D1 on deck 7?

I've stayed in both on other ships but not his class. I've read that the JS does not have the walk-in closet, but yes to the tub. I'm sure it's a bit bigger, but are those about the only differences?

I did get the WB Serenade TA booked. I really like the itinerary. I had an NCL TA booked, but this was same price for an interior, plus I had a Nextcruise Cert. I am also holding the 7 day prior, and will probably put the deposit since I can get same cabin. That 7 day is crazy expensive and way over what I allow as a daily budget for solo, but it may drop. Lots of time before the cruise.

I was going to look at a solo cabin, but their pricing was all caddywampus. It was $1500 more than an interior. I will keep the interior and get double points.

Not sure why you feel stupid - it appears you did very well - if you're referring to the TA when you'll be in 1100, that means you're getting 28 points - Congrats!!!
Hi, Mindy and congrats right back at you for hetting what you wanted!

I felt stupid being that after I booked the Jewel I started a Meet/Mingle roll call on the general Royal forum (twice yet) instead of in the Jewel M & M where it should have been. Bob and Karen ("Internetwhiz") came to my rescue.

How is John? You have no doubt been busy watching for cruises but we are missing you on the Jewel roll,

Jeff

What is the route of westbound Serenade TA? Price?

Hi Guys.

Can I ask the experts on here to do some speculating for me please.

Just booked Jewel's 2018 westbound TA that ends up in San Juan. Typically what kind of cruises are offered from San Juan and how long? I'm think about back to back options.

Oh and when do they open up for sale.

Thanks in advance.

Ah ha - I see about the little Roll Call blunder - I've finally gotten used to how CC is organized, but it took me a while. I know people who never develop a comfort level and steer clear (DH is one of those). After his pneumonia last fall, he worked hard to rebuild strength and has done great, so we've been able to live mostly "normal" lives the last couple of months. However he started a new chemo about 2 weeks ago and it's knocked him down again. The doc took him off it and now he'll focused on getting back to where he was. Next week I'll be watching for some 2019 winter escapes to the Caribbean. What about you?

If you take a look at current offerings you'll get a good idea. We're big fans of San Juan cruises as they're able to easily get to the Southern Caribbean with great ports such as Barbados, Aruba, Curacao, St. Lucia. You usually only get one sea day - a drawback for some people.

What is the route of westbound Serenade TA? Price?

August 26 - Sept. 11 16 nights Copenhagen to Boston. Copenhagen, Skagen, Oslo, Stavanger, Lerwick/Shetland, Akureyri, Isaf Jordur, Reykjvik (overnight), Halifax, Boston

I paid $8217.62 for a GS (Casino rate).

Awesome itinerary and great price for 16 nights with so many ports.

It looks like it is in the process of being loaded, but I can give you the basics...Copenhagen-Boston, Denmark, 2 Norway, Scotland, 3 Iceland ports with an overnight in Reykjavik, and Halifax. 16 nights.

My interior, now classified 6V was $3200

I think so! The 14 day Brilliance out of Amsterdam has their GS for $500 less than the balcony on the 12 day on Navigator!

Wowza. Earlier, I placed a '24 hour hold' on the May/Brilliance/GS and so after confirming w/ the DW, I called back to place the deposit & firm things up. The rep tells me there was a clerical error of $159 to our benefit. :) On a personal note, the 9th day of this cruise will place us to the Diamond level.

Thanks to all that participated in posting info on this thread!

Congratulations on your GS to celebrate your 40th anniversary, and also for reaching Diamond status, which will be recognized on the cruise following this one. :)

My preference is for the aft corner JS on Vision and Rhapsody, although the balcony aft corner is also nice. The JS balcony is larger, as is the cabin itself, plus it has the tub, as you mentioned. You also get double Crown & Anchor points, if that makes a difference to you. :)

Cruises from San Juan will be 7-day cruises on Jewel and Freedom. They alternate itineraries, so you can do a B2B2B starting with the TA and have 3 different itineraries. They should open sometime next week.

Aaah good thinking never thought to check out this years sailings for an idea. I'm on to that now.

Days at sea don't worry us. We are Transatlantic lovers ... can never have too many sea days.

Thanks.
