BrianAlt Posted October 28, 2016 #752 Share Posted October 28, 2016 You can not use your specialty dining package on OA for the Hibachi. So, doubt you could on the HM. That said, well worth the price with such great food and entertainment. Worth every penny, imho We were told now you can. You get a $30 credit. It's $35 for one protein or $40 for a combo. You pay the difference.
cruisinck Posted October 28, 2016 #753 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Could someone who has access to the suite lounge ask Raj if he will still be there 1/14/17. We are on that sailing and we love Raj Thank you for sharing your cruise with us. ;)

Sunny AZ Girl Posted October 28, 2016 #756 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Hi....Thank you for taking the time to contribute to the thread! I was wondering if anyone onboard can confirm if you can use Izumi Hibachi with the dining package? I know the fine print says you can't but there were times it had been allowed on other ships. Thank you! We were told no. [emoji32] Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

GuavaTechAngels Posted October 28, 2016 #758 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Anyone on this sailing using WOW bands? Does the WOW band work as a 100% replacement for the Sea Pass card? Can we use it to get on and off the boat or do we still need our Sea Pass card?
GuavaTechAngels Posted October 28, 2016 #759 Share Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) We have 4 night dining package and tried to book Hibachi and we were told it would cost extra, although we could've booked for sushi, but we don't like sushi!!! Margaret Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app That's lame! I love hibachi! It's a like a show and a meal in one! How much extra was it? Thanks for the heads up! :) Edited October 28, 2016 by GuavaTechAngels
Sunny AZ Girl Posted October 28, 2016 #760 Share Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) We are in 8120, our first OV cabin in years. We usually get balconies, but could not be happier with this one. It has as much room as our friends' Board Walk balcony cabins and is very comfortable with a great view. I can even sit in the window Seat. The only negative is that we are hearing a very loud banging noise all night long and even now. Our neighbors called security in the middle of the night and they came up to investigate. They were told it was the anchor. We were also told it was the bow cutting through the water in the waves. It is a bit better now that the Seas are calmer, so I don't know what it is. But it does sound like metal hitting the side more than water. I was able to sleep through it, but apparently our neighbors were not. Here are our pictures of the cabin. Our Diamond treat was just delivered. Overall, it has been a great cruise. We love the ship. The Dining Room manager wasn't willing to let me arrange a breakfast for our Freedom TA group (cruising on the Freedom at this time next year) at the time that worked for our group and treated me pretty harshly when I asked about it. Other ships have been very accommodating, so this was a surprise. But we will work around it and do something on our own. ALSEAU Posted October 28, 2016 #762 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Is anyone in stateroom #8680? Would love to know the location of the bed and/or photos of the room. Totally envious of you folks doing this TA. Thanks to all of you for sharing your experience.
Razl Posted October 28, 2016 #763 Share Posted October 28, 2016 You cannot. We were originally told we could do it and just pay an upcharge, but the specialty restaurant manager refused to allow the booking, even though his staff had previously said it was ok. If you go to izumi hibachi, you have to pay full price and it's not considered part of the package. Even the concierges could not get us in under the package. Tbh, we never expected it to be part of the package based on the fine print, and had no intention of going until the specialty dining staff said we should try it. Then we were excited to go. So having it then refused was pretty annoying. The theme of this cruise seems to be inconsistent/nonexistent communication.... The main reason that Hibachi is not included is that there are several different prices depending on what you order. $35 & $40. It is well worth it though. On the Allure it was great and I went with the $35 dinner but on the Harmony I am going with the $40. I want filet & lobster.
Mnamom1105 Posted October 28, 2016 #764 Share Posted October 28, 2016 New update: movie at aquatheatre last night was new star trek. Good sound, just a little funky with the side screens. Gorgeous weather this afternoon. I would be the person still in their pjs at 6:20 who ate lunch in solarium and then grabbed one of the patially covered lounge couches. Took a nap, had dinner, had ice cream, now lounging again. Watching supermanvs batman tonight at aquatheatre. Oh, had dinner at sabor last night. They got overwhelmed toward the end of our meal and they took a while getting to us. One thing to keep in mind: yes, some staff came from other ships while some is NEW and still getting the hang of things. So be patient when you get on! jules815 Posted October 28, 2016 #767 Share Posted October 28, 2016 It's going by so fast! Couple of comments about our Grand Suite. We love the room (8660), but a couple of bathroom complaints. No clothes line. We've always had on other ships, so wonder why they decided to do without? No shower curtain, and there's an opening between the 2 glass panels, which always results in a large puddle on the floor above the drain in the floor. And lastly, the shower water pressure hasn't been good at all. Can't seem to figure it out. It's manageable, but could be better. ncbn0902 Posted October 28, 2016 #768 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Requesting that someone please start a "where's the bed" thread for Harmony separate from this thread. Great idea. What size wrench do you use or will pliers work? I can just pack it with my duct tape, power cords and magnetic clothes hangers:rolleyes: Edited October 28, 2016 by looking4info
