Do we get lanyards when we check in?

Recommended Posts

Why?

Like I said. It is a horrible look. Might as well strap on a fanny pack while your at it.

I do not on a cruise to be fashion queen. I will wear my lanyard

It's not a matter of being a "fashion queen". More of having "Fashion dignity".

Please don't use a lanyard.

It is a very bad look.

Use a small keychain and keep it in your pocket.

Lol! 😂😂 Yes, it is, but we use them. I have a fiance who loses EVERYTHING and I wear sundresses-no pockets. I considered a wristband until we witnessed a fellow pax with a wristband "dipping" her card into several buffet dishes. 😝

They had a stand at Port Everglades - right before you walk on the gangway - that sells them.

Does anyone know what they charge in the port for these. That looks like a great idea to buy them at the port.

That's why I like mine which can stretch to be worn way above the elbow if needed.

Lanyards are lame. Put your seapass in your pocket (if you're a man) and in your small purse, (if you're a woman). How do you carry your room key in a hotel? Well, do the same on the ship!

Why would anyone carry a purse, all day, around a ship? Especially when hot-tubbing and swimming!

Hotel is much different. One is not using it to gamble and buy drinks with.

AND at a hotel, you still need a wallet- either in your pocket or a purse.

This is one thing that you can use for everything.

It's funny to see so many people bothered by others wearing lanyards. I think it's great. Maybe next time I'll wear two, just to ruin someone's cruse.:')

Some of us have no choice....I cannot put my card in my pocket as it will demagnetize and I will have to replace it. Discovered this on my very first cruise when I had to replace my card 3 times in 2 days. Finally the person at GS asked if I was keeping it in my pocket and I said yes and he said some people cannot do that. So I have it on a lanyard during the day and put it in my small clutch in the evening. Also have to keep it away from any magnets on the clutch.

ps. So once I discovered this I realized why I was constantly having to replace my work ID badge, and started using a lanyard there too.

Curious? Do you have a pacemaker ?

No one is bothered by it.

We are trying to do you a favor by telling how ridiculous it looks.

You should be thanking us.....

Hi there,

Quick question. On the Rhapsody of the Seas are we given a lanyard with the room key or is it wow bands now?

This is our first RCCL cruise as we have previously only cruised with DCL so keep thinking of last minute questions!

Thanks

You should be happy that they have not as yet installed pay toilets .Nothing is free

You can request a free one at that casino or get a better free one from the person pushing credit cards.

And in addition, RCI has given a sort of lanyard complete with a small pen and notepad out to all Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle attendees, free...it is a lot bulkier, however than a simple lanyard, and I have not seen anyone actually wear those...its more of a souvenir...

I suspect that a small percentage of lanyard wearer's do so to show off their high Crown and Anchor status, not that most of us care a wit....;p
