LoriPhil Posted November 19, 2017 #26 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Oh I so hope that's the band that will be playing in the Atrium on our upcoming cruise! I'll pack my durndle skirt for formal night.

geocruiser Posted November 19, 2017 #28 Share Posted November 19, 2017 I think that having a tuba on board might be very helpful at times. When your toilet does not flush, just place the Bell of the tuba ( see tuba picture for bell) over the bowl of the toilet and blow real hard. The toilet should flush then. Repeat if necessary. Kingofcool1947 Posted November 19, 2017 #29 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Can I Bring My Tuba and play it on the Balcony ? Like after 11pm? Sorry. I see so many idiotic posts, I thought I might add one. Actually, realistically, are musical instruments on the list of banned items to bring onboard? Yes you can. I bring my bugle on cruises. And enjoy playing reveille when the sun comes up. Sometimes, if I’m up late at night, I play taps... Play it on my balcony. Good luck, and enjoy your cruise. :)
MGAfhc Posted November 19, 2017 #30 Share Posted November 19, 2017 I'm sorry but you missed the fact that one must also be wearing sandals with black dress knee socks. Sheesh... How hard is it really to adhere to the dress standards. I thought the Princess standard was an imitation Island shirt, tucked in, with the pants waist hiked up to the middle of the parrot band. I have seen it more than once.
pablo222 Posted November 19, 2017 #31 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Can I Bring My Tuba and play it on the Balcony ? If you do, magic elf will announce he's putting you on his ignore list. However, he's obsessed with tubas, and will keep making back-handed slams about tubas for months. And, sorry -- don't feel too special being on his ignore list. It's already populated with every other poster here. Hopefully, including me.

cloveygrl Posted November 19, 2017 #33 Share Posted November 19, 2017 If I had to listen to anyone practicing an instrument in a cabin/balcony near mine - I would probably lose my mind and get worked up into a frothing frenzy (with the exception of the bagpipe mentions - if they were good)
Shih-tzu Posted November 19, 2017 #34 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Oh joy! Now I have justification to bring my bagpipes! My wife will be thrilled!:D I guarantee that she will insist I only play on the balcony with the door closed.;) Nope....drones are banned....ha ha ha. Just promise you won' play a 3/4 and stick with jigs and reels.
rocky1 Posted November 19, 2017 #35 Share Posted November 19, 2017 I think the tuba would only be allowed if it's a certified Emotional Support Instrument.;p

EightFurryPaws Posted November 20, 2017 #39 Share Posted November 20, 2017 And in between playing your tuba on the balcony, you can grill the fish you caught over the railing on the habachi you brought on board.
DRS/NC Posted November 20, 2017 #40 Share Posted November 20, 2017 Seriously -- I'd love a bagpipe 'concert' in the Atrium on a sea day afternoon. I love bagpipes!

Times Prince Posted November 20, 2017 #46 Share Posted November 20, 2017 I was thinking a sailor's hornpipe would be more appropriate while we are on board!:DAnd the tuba would definitely have to play the Love Boat Theme at sailaway - but 1/2 step off the key the ship uses. Or sound like a foghorn on a sunny day. It would drive the bridge crew nuts...

LoriPhil Posted November 20, 2017 #48 Share Posted November 20, 2017 Both Tuba and bagpipes have excellent carrying capacity for smuggling liquor, plus they come equipped with their own handy dispensers (refer to Tuba illustration on post 28, Page 2 of this thread)
