Question: How does one know in advance which of the "one or more" items would be included? If I could get the PBP and gratuities it would be tempting. Otherwise I don't know that I would be willing to pay the current cost of the cabin as opposed to the cost I have currently booked.

Interesting. I got an email from a TA I have used with this agency also. Mine does not state "one or more". She went into more descriptions and it does state BOTH the beverage package and gratuities are included (and a free dinner for mini-suites and above).

Sorry, I didn't realize they weren't so ubiquitous in the US. Around here, they're everywhere. There's at least a half-dozen franchise storefronts within 10 miles of me.

 

They do exist in the US (someone in CA mentioned they have one an hour from their house). Whenever I have searched for this promo - Canadian websites come up. I think in my city of 300K, we have 2 travel agencies. If I was to use them, I would have to call a call center.

 

For those who have dedicated agents here, this promo is definitely for you. Last year Sip and Sail came out to everyone a few weeks later. I am guessing it will happen again.

Why call? Book online with cruise line or via TA website. Quick, easy, open 24/7, you input your own info correctly and get immediate booking confirmation. Much easier than calling someone on the phone, being put on hold, told to call back during business hours or have to correct someone because he/she hears you incorrectly over the phone.

My point is I want a real travel agent. Not an online store or order tacker. If something goes wrong - I want a real person helping me.

 

I have a TA who provides amazing prices and service so I am not interested in this promo. My point was - I would never book with an online site or order taker. I value real travel agents.

Interestingly enough, I am in the U.S., but the agent I use is in Canada.....so that is an option also......

I haven’t read all the posts so maybe it was covered. The 3 day promo that includes the Premium beverage pkg and free grats for the first two adults in the cabin for balcony & above and has to be a min 7 day cruise. It is for cruises summer 2019 through spring of 2020. I booked with this particular online travel site for the same sale last year and got this same deal, but it can more since they had to steal me from another big box store travel site. If you book a mini suite or better you also get dining in a specialty restaurant.

I’m debating about transferring my current March 2020 sailing on the Sky using this promo. The only thing is...I don’t want to lose my selected cabin if I have to cancel existing and rebook. It is one of the “obstructed” balconies mid ship. But getting free gratuities on top of sip and sail would be great!

‡Free Premier Beverage Package is applicable to voyages and cruise fares advertised in this promotion only, applies to guests booked in a balcony stateroom or above, valid only for guests 1 & 2 per stateroom who are 21 years or older, and is not applicable during the land portion of cruisetours. The Premier Beverage Package price is $59.99 per guest, per day plus 15% service charge (totaling $68.99 per day) and includes beer, wine by the glass and cocktails $12.00 USD and under, all non-alcoholic beverages including bottled water (500ml only) fountain sodas, fresh juices (if available), specialty coffees and teas, Gong Cha items, Frappes at Coffee & Cones, milk shakes (if available) and Red Bull® energy drinks. The package includes the additional benefit of a 25% discount on the following excluded items; all bottles of wine, one liter bottles of water, canned soda and bottled juices. A daily limit on alcoholic beverages of 15 beverages over a 24-hour period (6 a.m. to 6 a.m.) will apply. The terms do not seem to offer OBC in lieu of beverage pkg ... as had been part of the small print the last 2 times Princess offered Sip 'n' Sail.

I guess we booked our Panama Canal trip I. 2015 with this Travel Agency because MY DH got an email from a rep. Announcing the sale and suggesting that you pre-register for the 3 day 6/21-23 special. The email shows the deals. He filed out the form and received a response within 10 minutes. Good marketing on their part

But I might do the sip and sail now since my March 2020 cruise has no perks with it. And then transfer to 3 for free later in the year. crossing my fingers
