CruiserBruce Posted September 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2018 Yes, there will be Happy Hours. The number, time and location vary by cruise, and even daily on a given cruise. I believe the current deal is buy one, get the second for $2. Not sure why you give your e mail. In fact, Cruise Critic rules state we should not e mail you, rather share the info here, where everyone can learn from it.

Krazy Kruizers Posted September 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2018 There are usually 2 Happy Hours from 4 - 5 in different locations and then 1 later in the evening. Check your daily program for the places where they will be held and the time they will be held.
mame42 Posted September 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 19, 2018 Last year this time, on Baltic itineraries, there was an unadvertised Happy Hour at the Lido Bar from 6-7. Best darn secret party on the ship!
mcrcruiser Posted September 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 20, 2018 Seems to me that if HAL wanted to sell more booze they would have more Happy Hours around the ships:D . Not every one wants to purchase drink packages :o

Best darn secret party on the ship! 6 - 7 isn't really a good time -- many people are having dinner at that time. So that only benefits the late diners. jbecker6469 Posted September 20, 2018 #9 Share Posted September 20, 2018 On both of our K'dam sailings, a daily happy hour from 4-5 was offered at the Sea View Bar. Nice to come back from our off-ship adventures and take our tired feet for an adult beverage. They also sometimes had a "drink of the day" (a fruity rum punch type drink), or unlimited Pina Coladas in a hollowed out pineapple. Check the daily "what and where" or ask any of the bartenders. They will know.
djg541 Posted September 20, 2018 #10 Share Posted September 20, 2018 Our trip on the K-Dam,April this year. Rome-Amsterdam Happy Hour was 4 PM billboard. I missed happy hour at the Crows Nest. Not the same vibe to me but others liked it. Some ships still do it at the Crows Nest, We plan sailing on the Eurodam come April '19. Anyone know where they do Happy Hour now? Thanks
kevingastreich Posted September 20, 2018 #11 Share Posted September 20, 2018 Just off the Zuiderdam. There were two scheduled happy hours every day on this 20 day cruise AND, everyday at the Lido Pool area, they were selling Bud, Michelob, and Coors buy one at regular price and get a second one for $2.00. All day every day. It was unadvertised except for the servers who would tout it. They were 16oz. cans. A pretty good deal.

Good value, the more you drink the more you save. Edited November 2, 2018 by NSWP

There is no reason why HAL can't have a Happy Hour from 5 -6 and another one from 7 - 8 to make all diners happy.

On our most recent cruises (Rotterdam, Prinsendam) happy hour was at 4pm (4-5) so plenty of time for early or late diners. And, IIRC, the 2nd one was at 10 pm so, again plenty of time for early or late diners. there can be 'specials' around the ship at times. For example on the Rotterdam when we had the BBKings, it wasn't posted that it was happy hour, but the waiters sure made dam sure we knew it and even came along for 'last call'. Rare Vict0riann Posted November 2, 2018 #18 Share Posted November 2, 2018 Also, we have on occasion has a lunchtime happy hour. Check with your server, or check those little signs on the tables in the Lido.

Anyone know where they do Happy Hour now? Thanks On our September Alaska cruise, happy hour was from 4-5 PM at the Ocean Bar and Billboard, and 10-11 PM in the Crows Nest. We hit up the Ocean bar mostly because they served appetizers if you got there early enough.
pjack61 Posted November 2, 2018 #20 Share Posted November 2, 2018 We were on Kdam last February and there was a daily, morning Bloody Mary special at the main pool bar, $6.00, unannounced.
CMDE Posted November 12, 2018 #21 Share Posted November 12, 2018 Does Happy Hour apply only to mixed drinks, usually? Or to wine as well?

courticeguy Posted November 12, 2018 #24 Share Posted November 12, 2018 If you drink beer, purchase more at happy hour prices and take them to your cabin. They will give them to you unopened.
aa7yy Posted November 13, 2018 #25 Share Posted November 13, 2018 Do you remember when it was 2 for 1 ? Maybe two years ago. About a year ago, buy 1 second for a $1 Just now, buy 1, second $2 I see $2.00 off each drink coming. This last cruise they moved Happy Hour from the Lido bars down to the Ocean Bar and Billboard at around half way. The good news is it was poring down rain. The bad days is it would of been nice to be outside on the warm sunny crossing.
