RMLincoln Posted November 11, 2018 #12 Share Posted November 11, 2018 good morning..We're in Ft Lauderdale to board koningsdam! We are on a delayed embarkation schedule due to a USCG inspection.... the ship has just returned from Europe. Boarding is supposed to begin at 1pm with those of priority and for uppermost decks, then deck 8 at 1:30, etc until main deck at 3pm. I am expecting a departure later than the scheduled 5pm. Our informal M&G is planned for aft right after muster drill, so the roll call might be there for sailaway. I forgot to bring my flag, and shame on me on Veterans Day! Remembering all the veterans today including my WW2 dad, my navy career son, my Iraq war army son and my 2X Iraq deployed marines godson. Blessing to all those serving at peace and in harms way. Happily@Sea Posted November 11, 2018 #13 Share Posted November 11, 2018 Something must be going on at pier 21 - this is the 3rd time in a week that a ship originally assigned there [I check a week out] has been assigned somewhere else. It started with Zuidy last Sunday..
Rare Scrapnana Posted November 11, 2018 Author #14 Share Posted November 11, 2018 Majesty of the Seas and Caribbean Princess have put back their departures so we now have three ships scheduled for 1700. HAL ships still at 1700 but from what Maureen said, Koningsdam might be later.
Rare kazu Posted November 11, 2018 #15 Share Posted November 11, 2018 I'm going to try to catch some of this in between 'puppy watching'. Gotta keep your eyes out all the time 😉 Kathi, I loved your dedication to the veterans and those that fought for our freedom at the beginning. Rare rafinmd Posted November 11, 2018 #19 Share Posted November 11, 2018 Both ships are scheduled for 1700, dinner is 1730. Seems a bit surprising that early seating on Royal Caribbean is earlier than on Holland America. I'll stay as long as I can. Roy

Happily@Sea Posted November 11, 2018 #24 Share Posted November 11, 2018 Looks like the first cruise ship to Pier 25 is X Infinity on Thurs the 15th. Look for the pier #26 ship - to be blocked from view - most of the regular season. 😞
