Guess they've decided it worked well for NCL.

I'm told Celebrity has been doing this as well

They can now lay off all the folks who used to call for upsells.

The one person. 😉🤣

$500 to go from 6V to OV - especially when the regular upsell is $87 per person... 🙄

There is always regular pricing! 🤔

And the possibility to upgrade your cabin by re-pricing... 👍

I can only imagine.........

"Can I use my OBC to bid?"

"I want to use my Future Cruise Credit to bid on an upgrade"

"Your deluxe beverage package now includes a $10 certificate towards an upgrade bid"

"Leftover punches on the coffee card can be converted to RCI $$'s to bid on an upgrade"

It would be nice if they just spent some time fixing their website before adding any more things to screw up.

As they are using their mailing marketing list... only a very small subsection will ever receive this!  I'm still waiting for the advance booking phone call telling me that Anthem is going on sale, and the email advising me that I get a 5% discount on UK prices.......

I agree it can be senseless bidding. Who knows what the upgrade fairy was going to do before seeing your bid and laughing maniacally? Maybe if you have the winning bid then they give you a casino credit and get you to fall for it again lol.

I think this program means the upgrade fairy is dead for good.

Yes, I guess I should have written "c-suite."

I guess that will delete the D+/P listed benefit of "priority access on stateroom upgrades, (If available) "  Seems recently newer cruisers were given priority  anyway. It has been years since a complimentary upgrade, and only a few times have we been able to get a paid upgrade.  I am sure I won't bother to bid for an upgrade.

They will send you an email if you and your sailing are eligible
