Yep, checking out Celebrity for the 1st time.

You won't get a very good idea in 2 days.  Really, you would need to do at least 5 days to experience the real Celebrity.  Most folks avoid these short cruises like the plague.

We were on a 4 day Infinity cruise.  It was almost non stop party time for many as it was only 4 days and they wanted to burn the candle at both end and in the middle.  Many didn’t leave the ship in any of the ports and just stayed on to enjoy the drink pack, buffet food, pizza and etc.

there were many female groups consisting of their friends and family that were just having a ladies only cruise.  They woud tend to be camped out all day at tables in the Solarium, or any other place that was close to food and bar service playing their board and card games.

Why not the price was cheap.  That is why we added it onto 12 day cruise on another ship we had prior to it.  All we took was carry ons with us and most others did the same as it seemed everyone did the self disembarkation.

It was fun, but a little different than a longer cruise.

Would we do it again,  sure.  We now have two 5 day cruises booked that we added on before other cruises.

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Most folks? Interesting generalization- many folks love them. Clearly, they are offered again and again.

We actually tried one of these on Norwegian quite a few years ago to see if we would enjoy a cruise and be able to handle being on the ocean (wife had concerns about being sea sick).  It was a bit of a party time, but there was enough to convince us that we would like it, and neither of us had issues with sea sickness.  We then booked a full 7 day cruise on HAL, and eventually have started doing about 1 a year (3 on Celebrity with 2 more booked). It worked for us, though we probably wouldn't do it again, unless we were with a group of friends just looking for something fun to do.

5 day cruises are also potential booze cruises  ... depends on itin and  dates.

2 days is hardly enough time to settle in,..unless Cap Club  points are needed, it seems hardly worth  it...., it might be a fun time but not really the full Celebrity experience,

We are booked on weekend April 4-6, 2020 Infinity cruise out of Miami. Driving to port from SC. Just a quick little get away/change of scenery. Gamble little bit at Atlantis and just enjoy (hopefully) some sunshine. Have no expectation beyond sitting on balcony watching ocean with a good book. Our big trip of the year is on Solstice to Alaska In July. Booked in Aqua sunset veranda for that and cannot wait!!

We are looking at the April cruise as well.  Never done one so short but it's a great opportunity to experience a suite category that we probably wouldn't otherwise consider.  The PH suite is currently available but I have no idea if the typical suite amenities like specialty dining and Premium drink package would be included on a short run...maybe we will see you on board or in the casino at Atlantis 😎.

Hi there!  Not sure what you’d receive in PH suite, but we received one perk (Classic Beverage) when we booked Veranda. It was $199 pp ... I actually think port charges were more🤣.  Can’t beat that for a quick weekend away.  Hotels at a decent beach resort cost more per night.  We’re driving in from Augusta GA area so we’ll stay Friday night somewhere along the way and get to port early to make most of our onboard experience before sail away. Hope to see you on board or yes.. at the Atlantis casino! Never been there so new adventure awaits!

That is a good idea about another cruise either before or after.  Distance too far for us without something like you did.  Thanks for the idea.  Now to convince the DW! 🙂

you guys do realize you're replying to a thread a year old....😁

Yes, I saw that but I felt compelled to click on it because sometimes people come back to the original thread with updates.  It was relevant to me because I had just looked at the 2 nighter on Infinity so I was intrigued by the headline.  Guess I thought it was just better to read the "old" thread than start a new one.  BTW...you clicked on it too...just sayin'  😁😊😉.

I am headed on the 2 nighter 2/8 and wanted to offer a some thoughts. I am a teacher and can't take vacation time (except for a day here or there, outside of school breaks. At this stage in life (married, 3 kids- 8, 4, 1), I cannot afford to cruise during those break times. I also don't want to be gone for long. I love short cruises! I love to party and stay up and dance. I love to get a quick taste of warmth, islands, ships, oceans, etc, without being gone long. Sure some people don't think it is worth the packing, flying, etc for a short time- but for me that is also fun and part of the experience. Some folks say it isn't "true celebrity." This can be said of any line. Some might say a 7 night isn't "true celebrity" and you must go for a 10 or 14 night. The fact is, on any cruise line (and I have been on  a few) shorter cruises have a different feel. But it doesn't make them any less "true." They are different. For some people that is different in a negative way, for others simply different and some might even prefer short cruises. To each his own. For me- I can't wait for my two-nighter and wish everyone on short or long cruises, happy cruising!

We are also doing the 2 night in Feb on the Infinity.  We live in Orlando so it is a quick drive.  We love any cruise, have been on 44, and we know the 2 night ones aren't a typical cruise, but for us it is great.  Fun to get-away and relax. Will be in Miami the Friday before so a perfect 3 day weekend.  I think if you have one booked you will have a great time - not everyone needs a 2 week cruise to relax.  :)  Of course I am looking forward to November and my 12 night.  ha ha  Plus, we got a deal of $93, plus taxes, how in the heck can you pass that up?  not me!!

We're doing two nights on the equinox next week, and we're very excited.  The big selling point for this one is to check out a class of ship we usually don't get to experience.  We can rarely get away for more than a long weekend - though we take those frequently - and cruise lines rarely put their nicer ships on short itineraries. We can't wait to explore!

We just did a 10 night on the Equinox in October, you will love the ship.  A 2 night cruise is a great way to get a feel for the ship.  I thought the Equinox was a great size, but we are partial to somewhat smaller ships.  Haven't done any of the 'mega' ones yet.  Have fun.
