Conquest or Sensation?

Hello!  Frequent spring break cruisers that are mixing it up this year and not doing a cruise.  Therefore, looking for a short summer cruise to ease our cruising hearts!  Two ships fit our dates/budget: Conquest and Sensation.  Pretty comparable in price/ports (Key West and Cozumel)/etc.  Looking for opinions on either or both.  

 

Background of who will be cruising...myself, DH, and 2 teen girls, 13 and 16.  We all have cruised many times, usually 7 days on ships ranging in size from Valor/Magic/Vista.  I know this would "feel" different, but also for a shorter cruise, looking just to kick back and relax after school lets out.

 

Any suggestions?

Conquest would be an easy choice for me. Conquest is the same class ship as Valor.

Definitely Conquest. I've never sailed her but I have sailed Sensation.  I've also been on the Freedom & Valor (Conquest sisters so same feel for you) & I'd pick them any day over Sensation.

Conquest for sure.

 

I've sailed on the Fascination and the Fantasy - both are in the same class as the Sensation. I prefer the Conquest Class over the Fantasy Class.

I loved the Conquest!  So much so I'm sailing Valor in a few weeks.

Sailed on both over the past year.  I would pick Conquest, though many like the fantasy class.

I thought Fantasy class ships were old a dozen years ago, so I stopped booking them back then.

 

Just off the Conquest a few weeks ago, still a serviceable ship.  Chose Conquest, no contest!

While I had a fantastic cruise on the Sensation, not my favorite type of ship. I've found the Conquest class has more going on

Sailed Conquest last October 2018.  I'm sailing the Sensation on 9/23/19.  Sensation is the same type of ship as the Fascination and I sailed that in June 2019.  Definitely go with Conquest.  Happy sailing!

I have sailed on both and I do enjoy the Fantasy class ships from time to time,  I would choose the Conquest since no tender ports are involved.😎

To me it would totally be based on the itinerary. I like the option to do the steakhouse on the Conquest (we will be on her in Feb), but HMC is always a reason to sail on a particular ship to me. We are beach people so we look for the best beaches. I went on the Sensation last September with my 23 year old son and we had the absolute best time. 

 

The Conquest will definitely have more amenities, but a great itinerary on the Sensation is a great option as well.

No question about it......Conquest.  We sailed Inspiration (same class as Sensation) and NEVER AGAIN!  Never have we ever wanted to get OFF of a ship as much as we did on Inspiration....no comparison to us at all!!

I've never sailed on Conquest, but I have sailed on Liberty (same class) twice.  I also sailed on Ecstasy (fantasy class) and sailing on Sensation next month.  I am curious what everyone likes so much more about Conquest?  I liked the Ecstasy a lot more than Liberty, but I don't know if it's because it was 5-days versus 3-days or because it's smaller.  I did enjoy the feel of the smaller ship.

Sailed on both & it’s not even close.  The Conquest is one of our favorite ships!!
