Rare 1025cruise Posted January 2, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 2, 2020 My guess would be that the next time a ship provisions, it will be getting Pepsi, but will go through the Coke supply it has. JH has stated news to come on soda, so maybe they are installing machines?

Carnival has stated the change from Coke to Pepsi would take place in January 2020. Today is January 2nd. 🤐

I get wanting to hear from someone on the ship, but we already have it confirmed that they are switching to Pepsi. And no where has anyone said anything about self serve machines (as nice as that would be), so no reason to expect that.
Lottacruises Posted January 2, 2020 #9 Share Posted January 2, 2020 On the freedom it is coke. I was hoping they would switch at midnight and dump all of the coke. 1

theeddie Posted January 3, 2020 #11 Share Posted January 3, 2020 They will not be ordering new coke products, but they will serve whatever they have left or in storage

Hahaha, that's funny, the thought of Carnival throwing anything away. This is the cruise line that cuts strawberries into sixths or eighths for garnishes, serves brown limes in cocktails, and sends moldy strawberries to Platinum and Diamond guests. 2

wms99 Posted January 3, 2020 #14 Share Posted January 3, 2020 I don't cruise for a specific brand of coke. I cruise for sun ups viewed from the aft Lido with a bad cup of coffee. I cruise for some of the best people watching this side of Walmart. I cruise for the ability to shut my brain down and let others do all the planning, driving, cooking, and cleaning. Coke or Pepsi, it's all just coke and something fizzy to drink.

Rare 1025cruise Posted January 5, 2020 #18 Share Posted January 5, 2020 Panorama started with Pepsi, never had Coke. For other ships, as they use up the Coke inventory, Pepsi will start showing up. I expect that by the end of the month the full switchover will have taken place.

Looks like I will keep a close eye on the beverage selection, because I may need to bring my own this time.

They have Schweppes Ginger Ale on the ships that have switched - not listed above as they (like Dr. Pepper) are not Pepsi products, though in many markets are distributed by Pepsi.
