We are making our pasta sauce which is a all day thing we cook it about 8 hours and will get lots of meals so we freeze most of it will add about 4 pounds of meatballs and some Italian sausage. Will use some of it to make a baked ziti or lasagna on July 4th for my wife’s birthday and our annual pool party , will also cook more Italian sausage for the party plus chicken on my grill. We have lots to celebrate first my birthday this week then our anniversary the following week followed by my wife birthday on the 4th . Nice to have fireworks on your birthday every year.

Happy birthday next week George.

Made it to the ship.  The internet is super slow so probably no pictures until we get back.  The ma stiff club was staying at our hotel for the dog show.  Only 2  fit in the elevator at a time. LOL. The food has been good.  The drink count so far is 1 BBC and 2 dark and stormy.  The don't use real bananas in the BBC and the taste is just not the same.  Sea day today probably around the pool.

Best wishes for an absolutely fantastic cruise.

Let me add my Father’s Day wishes to all the dads on Dani’s thread, and those celebrating with or remembering their dads today.

My son’s backdrop is much nicer than mine.  He has been sending pictures from Paris this morning.  He is there for a couple weeks on business. Same with my daughter, since they are still in Florida.

This has been a somewhat off week for me, between possibly picking up a bug on our return flight from California, and developing a bad side effect from blood pressure meds.  Had to stop taking one.

Yesterday, we ended up at the Linesville spillway to feed the fish.  Didn’t take any time at all to go through 8 loaves of bread.

There certainly are a lot of fish.

IMG_7586.thumb.jpeg.72d0c37f3a33eb376d51fb7624f936a0.jpeg

Even quite a few Amish families were out to feed them.

Today, we are off to Shakespeare’s for lunch , then a car show.

May butterflies, rainbows and dimes follow you always.

AND, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the dads in here and all the men who stand in and are dads to loved ones.

Chocked up thinking of my dad.  I hope everyone's dad memories are as wonderful as mine are.

So we finally made it home from Alaska via Canada.  Post cruise we stayed one night at the Hyatt Regency downtown in Vancouver and went to the Capilano Suspension Bridge/Nature Preserve which we really enjoyed.  Had some beers & dinner at Grain which is inside the Hyatt.  Great beers & good food.

Flight from Vancouver to Toronto on Air  Canada at 6am was no issue besides leaving the hotel at 3:15 AM  YIKES 😳

Toronto to Pittsburgh was a whole different story.  Air Canada cancelled our flight because of “crew issues/shortages”.  No other direct flights on AC or any other airline either.  UGGHH  AC tried to put us in a flight the next day  (today) to Chicago then PIT. UHH HARD PASS

Took baggage claims agent 3.5 hours to retrieve 2 of 3 bags - 1 still missing… but I have it air tagged!

Ended up renting a car and driving home last night.  Around a 5 hour drive.  Definitely the right call.

While driving home AC cancelled our flight that would have been today.  So glad we just drove!!  1 measly 50 minute flight that was cancelled caused so much trouble.

Dark & Stormy w/ Kracken is one of my faves.  Enjoy your cruise!  Cheers 🍻

Where is "the other" thread that many of us post on?

Edit: Found it but had to hunt for it. For some reason it did not come up on my subscribed page.

Ok, now you have me curious with all this code talk of “the other” thread, then posting invisible links to it.

Do I need a decoder ring to figure it out?

Crystal Block update…it has arrived!

I had a RING doorbell notification the day we got to Anchorage last week of the FedEx driver but we were not expecting any packages.  hmmm  Mystery Solved!

Figures they deliver the block the day we board another cruise 😂

On Tuesday we had lunch at Gordon Ramsey’s Pub in the Forum shops at Caesars.  The game started at 5pm local time so we wanted a good lunch.

Lisa and I split a salad that ice wine vinaigrette dressing. Very tasty. Owen has a Caesar salad, in honour of eating at his Casino.

Owen had the grilled cheese with short rib.

Lisa and I each got a filet, but shared the lobster mac and cheese and whipped potatoes.  Tomatoes as always were left behind.

Great minds think alike. I cook my homemade sauce too a for 8 hours or more on a low simmer. I’ll also cook my tennis size meatballs directly in the sauce too.

Modestly speaking our meatballs are better than any restaurant, our sauce is really good but our friend who owned a Italian restaurant for thirty years is a little better. We started with Quilt red blend which is a very nice Napa I bought 8 bottles the other day during a wine sale at local supermarket, wine was 12 dollars less than total wine will buy every bottle I can find while sale is on .

I mix my meatballs with beef and pork. What do you do?

Before our lunch reservation we walked through the plaza. The ceiling changed colours to reflect upon the time day. We were there long enough to go from sun set to sunrise.

Thankfully we escaped the grasp of this store. I took a seat while Lisa and Owen went in.

Owen on the other hand found this and wanted his photo taken. Thankfully it wasn’t his 21st birthday.
