I like the series but it annoys me when they show the lake shots and it's not the Lake of the Ozark's or Table Rock it's at Lake Allatoona, about 30 miles from state capital Atlanta, and Lake Lanier, which has been used as the location of the Byrde family home.

We lived near Allatoona for 5 years.  Kennesaw. Tiny lake.

Georgia gets used for a lot of stuff😉

One of my faves was the Gwinnet Place Mall for Stranger Things 3. You can even still shop there 😁

Thank you!   Looks pretty easy to make and delicious.   I will definitely try this recipe in near future. 🤩

Thank you, Andrew, for posting the recipe. I was going to ask, but Debbie beat me to it....😎

Any recipe which includes pecans, cream cheese, whipped cream, etc. looks delicious to me.

Yes Georgia has some very good film incentives for production companies unlike Missouri. I also think the producers wanted to go for the sparse population look and as you know very well. Lake of the Ozark's is hardly that.

It's booster dose day for all of us. Vikki znd kids signed up before me so they went to one clinic and I went to another that just opened that had appointments.

Now sitting and waiting my 15 minutes.  Over 30 are now only getting Moderna regardless of other doses.  I kind of like that.  My first 3 were Pfizer and studies are now showing Moderna offers a bit better protection.  The guy ahead of me walked out.

Also got a full dose as opposed to the half dose booster because of the medication I'm on.  Hopefully no major side effects, didn't really have any other than a slightly sore arm

We drank milkshakes the evening after our booster shoots.  Felt great the next day.  Give it a try.  Unless you are allergic to milk. 😉

Defo do not like weird or horror, too much of a wuss 😀

After life is more of black (very black) comedy. Its also i think about redemption. I think the writing is fantastic, the music is good too. But certainly the first series is hard going in bits and lots of swearing 🤬

It's about a man who's love of his life dies from cancer and how he struggles to go on. Written, starring and produced by Ricky Gervais

We just watched the first episode, very entertaining, cool dog 😁

SAG AWARDS MOVIE VIEWING 3, TIK, TIK, BOOM!

I highly recommend seeing this movie if you love musicals or broadway theater. It is highly entertaining and well crafted by Lin-Manual Miranda. So far Andrew Garfield has my vote for best actor he was really incredible in this movie.

This sounds like a real winner, Greg!

Consecutive Crusers menu. Soup and steak was good and the Chocolate Bar was ok. The bar looked more like a cake. 2.5 champagnes later and I'm ready for a nap. To bad the lounge doesn't have any beds since the rooms aren't ready. 😴  Also on the way up the ramp back to the ship I twisted my knee. 😡

We hired a car on arrival and that evening we drove out to the sunset viewing platform to see the sunset at Uluru. Arrived about 40 mins beforehand.  Big viewing area. Plenty of room for everyone.  Lots of camper vans with their occupants seating up tables & chairs, drinks and nibbles to enjoy while waiting. Worth the wait. The colour change is amazing.

The next morning, we got up early (for us).  Drove out to Uluru and hired bikes to cycle the entire the base of Uluru which took us about 2hrs I think.  Because we got there early, we had the first 1hr pretty much to ourselves.  It was May and the first 30mins was a bit brr for us.  Surfaces of Uluru are amazing up close.

After our cycle, we hopped back into our hire car and drove the 40mins on to the stunning Kata Tjuta.  You can do two walks here. The short Walpa Gorge Walk or longer Valley of the Winds walk. We did the shorter walk. Colours were amazing.

After returning to our apartment for a bit downtime, we walked to the hotel next door at about 4pm to be collected by coach to be driven out to see The Field of Lights.  I had booked the Star Pass which gave us delicious nibbles and drinks at a viewing platform while we waited for the sun to set.  After I had my fill of champagne and finger food, we walked down the sandy hill to wander amongst this amazing art installation.

Thought I’d share with you all some photos from our trip to Uluru.
We flew direct from Sydney to Uluru with Jetstar.  Stayed at the Emu Walk Apartments which we thought was an excellent choice.

Fun climb on the west side

It’s now referred to by its aboriginal name.  You could climb it until very recently although it was closed when we were there due to conditions but we had no desire to climb anyway out of respect.  The walk up the side of Uluru was permanently closed by the authorities not long after we were there.
