I think some others have mentioned it before but we got around to binge watching HBO's "Mare of Easttown. All I can is WOW! What a great murder mystery. I felt like being on a emotional rollercoaster with all the twists and turns. Acting was incredible especially from Kate Winslet who mark my words will win the Emmy for best female actor. I highly recommend this great series.

Yes, we watched this and felt the same as you.  Rumor is they may make another season and Kate Winslet recently said she would love to do another season.  Hopefully!

EXCELLENT!   That's Great.  Hopefully she is enjoying this special time.  😊  Congratulations to them🎆

I played softball from 8 to 18 yrs old and 2 of my best friends I met while playing.  Was on township league as well as jr high and high school teams.  We almost made state champs for PA.  I really enjoyed those days.

We always had our steaks well done.

Pauline still does but  several years ago I started getting my steaks Medium and always get steaks Medium cooked now.

We been there too.  We first started out med well to well done.  I am now a med rare to med and the wife med.  I think we were concerned before from getting sick if it wasn’t cooked enough especially pork chops.  We would overcook the pork chops and they would dry out.  Now I cook the pork chops sous vide to rare-med rare and they are sooooo tender and juicy.

Ah!  Mid Island!!  Congratulations!  I seem to recall back in the '80's(?) Mid Island won the Softball Championship.

I coached the girls softball team at South Shore for several years.  My SIL, myself, and several friends all started the girls Softball at South Shore, after attending a meeting for South Shore baseball, asking why there wasn't anything for the girls.  We got the okay, and SS softball was started by us back in 1981.  My 3 girls all made the All Stars.  Great times;  great memories!

We also started the girls basketball program in Tottenville!🏀

I am doing fan-stinkin-tastic! A lot more energy and felling close to 100%.  Wife is still a bit stuffy but must be feeling better.  She is outside watering stuff.  Hard to keep her still.

Great news, Ozark!!

@lenquixote66  Glad you had a Happy Birthday and were spoiled with so many gifts yesterday!

Best of luck tomorrow for your dear wife, may she have a quick recovery.  You and your wife are in my thoughts, Lenny.

My husband likes his steaks rare.  Or what he calls rare…I’d say more raw.  My side of the family used to joke “Have a slow gaited waiter walk it through a warm kitchen.”  I want my steak medium rare.  Thirty-six years of marriage and he’s never been able to cook me a medium rare steak.  I suspect he assumes one day I’ll proclaim “You were right!  This is delicious!”

Mike also likes his like that. I call it death warmed over. I prefer medium well.

Just came up from the garden and was remembering this post. May I make a suggestion.  As you may know tomatoes and peppers are both self pollinators.  They usually pollinate there  best when wind blows and shakes the blooms. I learned a technique a couple years ago that really helps produce more.  You can help pollination by rapidly tapping near the blooms so they shake.  It made a huge difference last year.  I hurt my foot earlier and it kept me out of the garden.  I am now able to get back to the garden.  I have been back to tapping and now my bla productivity is now noticeably picking up.  Try it.  I bet you will see the fresh blooms producing Better.

Our day today was spent riding rides at Waldemeer Amusement Park.  It has been years since I rode any amusement rides, and this would be the day to see how an old grandparent can handle them. 😁😁

Both grandsons are tall enough to ride everything, but there were some that granddaughter is still too short to ride.   The first thing up was a roller coaster.

After 3 rides, Then it was on to the log flume ride.

It was a perfect day to do the amusement rides, because it was hot and many were at the water park area.  Almost no wait for the rides.
