Probably not using it right because of social distancing? You just get your drinks loaded on your sea pass card and get your drinks at various bars around the ship?

Well aware of all that from the different CC postings. I was specifically asking the OP as I was looking for first hand knowledge/experience on how the DL is being run on their cruise. Also I've read on CC the Adventure cruise the DL was doing the evening C&A HH but not unlimited drinks (just what's loaded on your Seapass card) and severs serving up snacks.

I scanned this thread pretty fast but didn’t see any comments about the mask situation for vaccinated passengers? Are vax’d passengers having to wear masks when outside their cabins?

We have to wear them when walking the promenade, halls  & walking into MDR & restaurants..     Not too much actually.

Just saw a pack of 12 different color generic silicon wrist bands for sale for $6.00. I think Royal should have their own made with the anchor insignia to avoid people buying their own and wearing them.

Thought it was mentioned on another post that the crown and anchor is logo is on the band...

18 cruises, but my first on Royal, so I don’t know about DL. Sorry 😊

If they are going to continue using them, that is what they should do.  Much tougher to "counterfeit".  I am not a big fan of the RFID bands to open cabins, charge things, etc. but it would be the perfect time for them to be utilized.  One colour for vaccinated and another for unvaccinated and it would function as your seapass card for everything.

You would think they would at least put some sort of Royal Caribbean stamp or logo on it so that it was just not a plain rubber band.  Even changing up the band colour for each cruise, they will need a bunch of different colours or you will see people boarding like this like us Canadians keep our ski lift tags on our ski jackets.

Agreed.  It needs a logo and random colour changes.

And if they want to see my seapass I will show it to them. I will say I don't want to argue with you but the last time I said that the responder basically said that I was by just replying.

My husband asks what happens when our wristband is miss placed?  Yeah guest services should be able to replace it but if I am in a rush for a scheduled activity I really have to go hunting for a replacement?  I don't think they will be required 24/7 yes it makes it easier for the staff but in a pinch they have a way to confirm my status without it.

Or they may decide to make you go get the replacement bracelet to attend the scheduled activity, because The Rules say you have to be wearing it. And they will be right. Sure, sometimes you can show them your seapass, but if running the rules means that they have to ask every time they see someone without a bracelet, is it really worth the resistance?

X Edge does not require Mask or S D.

Why different rules for same company?

Thats actually quite a bit. Basically everywhere on the ship that is not outdoors or your cabin. It’s pretty ridiculous.

I’ll be watching how things progress and if they don’t relax this in the coming months I’ll be canceling my Christmas cruise.

Oxo-

Same parent company, different cruise lines. Also, there may be different demographics- less children (unvaccinated) on Celebrity Edge.

Just conjecturing to reply to your question.

Appreciate your logic. Very valid.

Now, as passengers we must decide whom to cruise with.

Someone already made that decision.

Stay Safe!

30% will not get the vaccine.

@jrapps...if you are diamond or above (if not ignore the question), how is the DLC running the DL in the evening?

Sadly I am not on the cruise (I wish I was) but I see @linga answered. Thank you so much for providing us a taste of your vacation!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th!

Same, after being maskless for a few weeks now, had to wear one in a doctors office waiting for my wife.  HATED it and will also cancel upcoming cruise if I have to wear a mask inside.  Thought being vaxed would get you this "perk".  Might have to switch to Celebrity or one of the others.

To clarify, we only have to wear them when walking down the halls near the rooms, when 1st entering the dining room & and on the promenade. You don’t have to wear them in the bars, show room, casino,  while dining, near the pools, etc.   as I said it’s really not much after all.

I was so tired of wearing a mask, I was concerned about having to do it, but it’s been so minimal, it hasn’t been any issue or made the cruise any less enjoyable at all..

Here's a video of your leaving port.

Thanks for the video. Wished we would have been on our boat to watch it. We have been on the boat many times when the ships leave, but it was never a big deal. I think this one would have been a lot different. That would have been great. Excited that more cruises are happening. Can’t wait till October.

Why would you even take it off? Why worry about losing it, just leave it on. 🙄

Like I said he will do what he must but I think there is a discussion to be had if you seapass does the same thing why do we need them.  I will be specifically asking when they hand them out to us the the question that I have expressed on this thread.

Maybe get a lanyard and have him were the bracelet on the lanyard with his seapass card

For those who don't want to wear the Tracelet or rubberbands - several options:

•attach it to a lanyard (already mentioned)

•get a large safety pin and attach it to your clothing

•office max (or depot-can't keep them straight) has these clippy things on a retractable line that can attach to things you don't want to carry. My mom had one for her keys when she was in assisted living. She wore it around her neck.

I don't like wearing things on my wrists, especially rubber items. I'll be using the safety pin thing.
