Wasn’t it Terry who usually has been the lead in Spectras?  I have a picture of us when we met on deck.  He is terrific…

Yes, Terry Lavelle is our favorite Spectra.  We saw a woman Spectra once and it just wasn't as good.  We saw another guy too who was okay but we prefer Terry.  We went to a Meet the Stars thing once in 270 that he was at along with Scaramouche and Galileo Figaro which was really interesting.

Our friend just reported back from the WJ and said he also had no issues with turning up without a reservation. But if it's full, you can be turned away. I do not see that happening on this sailing.

I was on the 11/14 Anthem sailing. The Compass did say reservations were needed for dinner Windjammer. They were never asked for. They did check in Sea Passes upon entry. About 2,200/2,300 passengers on that sailing

I went up to Windjammer and confirmed that is an error that reservations are required. I have eaten there breakfast, lunch, and a dinner and we were never asked for our names. I asked the woman working there and she confirmed that reservations are NOT required.

Just announced we have 2.24% of population onboard that tested positive today.

And we will not go to St Kitts.  Was expecting that but still sad as I love St Kitts.

Sounds like we will be doing a drop off of some crew later this week.

49 positive cases roughly?  Must be mostly crew I would assume where you just boarded yesterday correct?

Roll with the punches and have a great cruise, plenty of fun to be had!!

Reservations for Windjammer, well that is a HUGE hassle. Damn !! That would be final straw for me.

We sailed over Thanksgiving week, and while it was reservations required in the WJ on the Compass, we never had to make any reservations at all.

We had about 2900 that week, including about 800 children!!  We never had a problem finding a table in WJ.

That sucks !!Thought you were headed to St Maarten first. I bet you head back sooner and hit Coco Cay before heading back to Bayonne.

We go to st maarten on thursday, antigua on friday and barbados on saturday.  Lost 2 ports and hopefully wont loose anymore.  Now 7 sea days.  At least we love sea days as long as they are warm and sunny😍

On the way back we will stop in VA and head to your place for hot tub and cocktails🍹🌴

I have never heard of / seen a "Family" Spectra.  I wonder what they do to the show.................

Likely just the terminology carrying over for the mixed unvaccinated/vaccinated show vs vaccinated-only show.

So all the guest got tested since they boarded? when did that happen, what day of the cruise did that take place?

I have confirmed with loyalty ambassador and security officer we have just about 3200 people in total of crew and passengers.

So that would be 72 that tested positive.

Our waiter in MDR said crew is tested every Monday or Tuesday.  He was tested this morning.

No idea if any passengers were tested as part of close contact testing.  Will probably hear more info. tomorrow.

For now the casino is ahead.  I was ahead last night but gave that back plus some tonight.

Hoping for a sunny warm day tomorrow😍

We were at Spectra when the captain made his announcement, so we didn't hear it.

I had a lot of feelings about Spectra. I really wanted to like it. There was a lot that I did like about it. But alas...it's still a cruise ship show. Please don't shoot me, but I'm always let down by cruise ship shows. I just expect them to be mediocre. The only cruise entertainment that has blown me away is on Virgin. I think a big part of the issue is the audience that just sat there like lumps on a log, not giving any expression or interest to the performers. There's got to be a bit of chemistry and this audience just did not give it. But it takes two, and while the artists and performers were very talented, I feel something was missing from the directing/writing/producing end of the show. It needs to grab and engage and it fell a bit short there. I felt they needed to push it a bit further to hit the mark. But it's still pretty great for a cruise ship. I'll probably forget about it in a couple of weeks, just like most other cruise shows.

The waitress also brought me the wrong drink but it didn't taste bad, so I drank it anyway. Attention to detail just doesn't exist on this ship, but I expect things to be hectic at this time. It would be tough to be a crew member right now.

We went to Wonderland tonight for dinner. Molecular gastronomy is a restaurant genre we have been exploring a lot for the past few years and this was at the bottom of our list. But when that list includes restaurants like Alinea and Espacio UMA, you're still in a good place. It was good and our server was great, too. He was very attentive and put together a tasting menu for the three of us so that we could try most of the menu. The exclusive cocktails were good, too! So if you go to Wonderland, don't miss those. You cannot get them anywhere else on the ship. We really did enjoy Wonderland but won't visit again until the menu changes (if it ever will) because we tried everything we wanted to.
