What to do on sea days?

Hello everyone,

We will be on our first NCL trip on the Getaway in a few weeks to the Caribbean. I'm interested to know what types of things are offered on sea days other than the amenities like  spa, waterslides, ropes course, etc.? I've searched through these threads, but couldn't find the info, so I'm happy to receive knowledge from the experts! Also, if there are any tips, tricks or don't misses for the Getaway, I'd be happy to hear them. Thanks!

Look at the Freestyle Daily and pack your day with activities all over the ship:  cooking demonstrations, trivia contests, dance lessons, wine tastings, meet & greets, art auctions (just kidding 😜), basketball tourneys, casino tourneys, karaoke, etc...

Or get a mojito and relax on your balcony or a quiet area of the ship and watch the ocean go by or read a book.

You can be as busy or relaxed as you want to be.

Grab a drink and walk around the ship to see what appeals to you.

I will be on the Getaway in August, and I live for the sea days.

I sleep late, have coffee and an almond croissant delivered by room-service on my balcony, bring my crossword to the Atrium and watch some trivia. Go for a swim and have an adult refreshment while I am drying off. Join a painting class or cooking demonstration and have an afternoon snack. Play shuffleboard which can be quite competitive, then go and have a bit of a workout before having my shower and changing for dinner. Then I will go and have a cocktail while listening to some live music, have dinner, see a show and then a dance and a nightcap.

Sea days are magic....

On the Getaway, take advantage of the bars on the Waterfront.  Enjoy the cold beverage or cocktail of your choice, admire the ocean, and meet/talk with new people.  Lots of fun.

Oh, yeah, there's the casino too, but be prepared to choke back all the cigarette smoke.  Uggh.  (It's 2022.  Enough already).

Trivia in Atrium.  Lots of activities by the pool. Sometimes movie is shown in Atrium with free popcorn. Ping pong.

Just be sure to look at Freestyle Dailies the night before sea day when it is delivered to your cabin and plan activities (bring highlighter with you).

Given we’re pretty active in ports we savor the sea days for extra rest and relaxation. Hit the bars and try all the drinks. Soak up the sun and take in the ocean every. Take a nap. Read in a lounger. Stay hydrated with more than alcohol.

why do anything? sea days are great days for just "chilling" and to do anything or nothing you want.  while i enjoy exploring different ports of call (especially  in europe) i'm just as happy with sea days, where i can lounge  on my balcony and watch the sea go by.  get a drink, and just enjoy being away from it all.

go listen to music, read a kindle, if you're on a ship with a waterfront, grab a mojito from sugarcane and just flop down in one of the available chairs, take  a deep breath, exhale, sigh, and relax. repeat as needed!

Marlboro cigarettes are the Number 1 sold item ever in the history of the world.  Just saying.   I to can not stand the smell...

We sleep in late, have a late breakfast early brunch delivered to the room, then wander. Sometimes we make a game to see how many bars we can get to before we need a nap... sometimes the fun just seems to find us. It all depends on how many friends are sailing with us and the type of room we're in.
