Next Cruise - No more Free Champaign

Recommended Posts

We got one last weekend (May 5th, 2023) for booking Next Cruise on the first day.  If anyone is really wondering, it was a bottle of Blanc De Blancs Duc De Valmer Brut.  We were on Independence, so maybe they are phasing it out or it is different from ship to ship?

If anyone knows how to have free bottles of Veuve Clicquot or Moët et Chandon (real) champagne randomly delivered to our stateroom on our upcoming cruise, please share. 🍾

I will only get excited when they offer a Krug Grande Cuvée Brut or a Louis Roederer Cristal Brut. 🥂

Just booked 7 cruises yesterday on boarding Brilliance of the Seas. Got 7 bottles of Vigne Dei Conte Extra Dry Spumante for bookings. Next cruise asked if I wanted them now or they could deliver it. I said delivered of course. Get to enjoy it with MDR dinner mates for this cruise and on the TP to Honolulu.

Well the accountants found another cost savings……

Our FIRST stop on embarkation is always, Next Cruise, to book a sail, and typically if your the first and sometimes within the first few bookings, you can request and get a bottle of bubbly…

We did this on Seven of our Eight sails in 2022…..well, NO more, the only “give away” is a raffle ticket for $250 OBC drawing at the end of the cruise…

The new normal is changing every day…

Stay safe all…Keep Cruising…

Not true for all ships. Just received a bottle on the Independence.

I love champagne!  I wish I would find a free one in my cabin!

I love good champagne.  That's not what they give out.  But, I'm sure it won't stop anyone from booking a cruise.

The "bubbly" is crap anyway, who would really want it?

I am Pinnacle so get 3 choices for Crown and Anchor gifts.  I choose 3 bottles of champagne and I get them.  Luck has nothing to do with it.  Once over 525 points, you get 3 gifts for a 7 night cruise.

we are Diamond Plus.

What should we Expect ?

Just got off Brilliance B2B Alaska and TP cruise to Hawaii. Booked onboard first day and made 7 bookings. Got 7 bottles of Dry Moscato delivered to cabin, one for each booking. Was told that all bookings on the first day get a bottle. Also won $250 in drawing but gave it all back plus more over the next 17 nights. Have never won the $250 OBC before so figured I would give lady luck a try.

On the topic, has anyone ever won the free OBC they supposedly have a drawing for if you book the first 3 days?

 I always wondered about this.

Then, on our Oasis cruise last week got a call that we had won the $250 non-refundable OBC.  Nice.  Cashed it out in the casino.

It does vary ship to ship.  We booked a cruise first day on Radiance in Alaska.  No bubbly.

I got a call that we had won the $250 OBC. First time in winning this drawing.

I was on the Rhapsody of the Seas in June and booked the Liberty OTS cruise that just finished on October 14. The manager on the Rhapsody told me that RCI was not doing this anymore. I went to Next Cruise on the Liberty OTS on the first day October 5th. They had signs offering the free bottle for booking on the first day. I was going to book a cruise that had Israel but as a solo traveler paying double it was not the right price for me at the moment and I decided to wait. You know what happened the following day😔.
