Did you not love Captain Nikolas? It was great spending a few minutes with you, members of the crew, and the young men from San Diego the last night of the cruise. It was great that you were able to make the cruise. Smooth Sailing!

Captain was awesome! We, too, were delighted that we were able to travel so soon after Bob's (life-threatening) hospitalization!

We loved our late-night time in the Martini Bar!

I don't think there's a happier ship on the high seas than Century!

I agree! The whole crew was awesome. Maybe we will sail together again!

I appreciate all the info on the staffing, but think that more acknowledgement should be paid to one of the most important of all staff-the group activities coordinator. They are the ones who plan the Connections party etc.

Master - Yannis Berdos (Greece) (arrived in early March)

Chief Engineer - Stavros Zannikos (Greece)

Staff Captain - Panagiotis Kiousis (Greece)

GRM - Jeff Potts (Canada)

Hotel Director - Ryan Kingston (England)

Cruise Director - Ian Cresswell (Australia)

F&B Manager - John-Paul Lamb (Canada)

Executive Chef - Robert Sauer (Australia)

Captains Club Host - Chandru Advani (India)

 

Chandru is the ultimate CC host who knew everyone by the second meeting. Ian Creswell is a good cruise director who was appropriate for the Australian cruise season.

 

The rest of the officers stayed away from guests unless absolutely required. Only Ian attended the CC gathering on both legs and then for just a few minutes. This was very different than the Eclipse in November 12 when all the senior officers and others attended. (Of course Host Andy was there along with his mom.) In talking with the crew, it appears that about half the crew is turning over before the Alaska runs begin. Of course most will return after two months at home. I was amazed that over 90% of the crew returns for a subsequent contract; certainly a credit to Celebrity.

Does anyone know where Putu & Peter are who from martini bar ?

 

Peter has just arrived home in the Phillipines today for his vacation from the Equinox, and will be returning to the Silhouette for his next contract.

 

Putu started a new contract on the Eclipse on 28th March

Does anybody know what ever happened to Raffaele Bernardini, the Hotel Director from the Equinox in spring 2012?

 

I'm eating at Raffaele's restaurant on Friday night in downtown Miami before getting onto the Reflection on Saturday for the TA.

I'll be meeting up with Damien O'CONNOR too

(Good to keep in touch)

Sure will Arno, hopefully Raffa will be there, and yes I understand he is committed to shore-side.

As for Damien, he's a little busy right now :D with the Quantum launch etc. (but he loves it !)

Is Sue Denning shifting ships again,once the TA is completed ? She appears to be going on short '' relief '' contracts for the past 1++ year....

Do you know is Capt Manetas will be on for a few sailings from S'ton after the TA.

I've got friends booked on 25May....I'll pass on some info. I've had the pleasure of 3 sailings with Capt.Manetas; really enjoyed him...and his dead-pan demeanour.
