Love you my friend....but I see it differently! Was hoping for something new. Hairspray is "been there done that" on RC! Just exhibits another cost-cutting measure by RC since they already have the set, costumes, etc!

Meh. It's already been on 2 ships. Enough is enough. With them naming Kristen Chenoweth as Quantum Godmother, I've been holding out hope for Wicked. Oh well.

Count me in with the disappointed folks. I've seen Hairspray often enough. Even a new, expanded version will not thrill me. I can't believe Royal would recycle a former theater show when there are so many more theater shows worth considering.

Even though I enjoyed the Les Miz on Broadway.....I felt it was a bit HEAVY for a cruise ship.

Of course I wish Royal would of purchased Jersey Boys or Wicked for Symphony. That would if been Super Fantastic!!

I was told by someone I thought was a reliable source that it was going to be "Les Miserables" or "Les Miz". So when I saw Hairspray....I rejoiced.

 

Even though I enjoyed the Les Miz on Broadway.....I felt it was a bit HEAVY for a cruise ship.

I voted for Jersey Boys in another thread months ago. The girls could be backup dancers with costume changes ie Big girls don't cry etc,

We saw this show in Myrtle Beach and it was fantastic!!

Years ago I saw Barnum on a cruise ship. We were rocking and rolling in a storm and the high sure walker managed to keep his balance. That was a show!

If my memory is correct, thought I saw Hairspray on Allure in April 2011.

Yes, Hairspray was on Oasis prior to Cats and Allure had Chicago prior to Mamma Mia.

I believe Allure had Chicago in 2011.

Oasis had Hairspray from 2009 til 2014 (until dry dock). Since then Cats.

Allure hat Chicago from 2010 til 2015 (until dry dock). Since then Mamma Mia.

Allure never had Hairspray.

I certainly appreciate the sentiment, but I didn't get on Oasis still Cats came along. I'll look forward to seeing Hairspray. I think I remember most of the reviews were positive. I enjoyed Chicago, but wouldn't want to see it come back.
