They use coupons when there are large numbers of Elite and higher on board; usually transatlantics have large numbers so you very likely will have coupons, but nobody can say for sure what will occur in advance.

Have been on the last two transatlantics on Silly and we had to use coupons. Will they be loading your sea pass on the April TA?

Only the Shadow knows! Because the Celebrity IT dept still don't have a clue!:p

On Mille last November, they had the elite free dip of gelato on the card, but failed to put the casino match plays on it! And they still handed out the 3 daily elite drink coupons.

Did they fix this in any way, or were you out of luck (pun semi-intended)?

What I would like to know, in the past when they did not have enough Elites on board to pass out coupons, the Sky Lounge was open from 5-7pm, and you could get unlimited drinks.

Now that they load the 3 drinks onto the Seapass, is that all you get in the Sky Lounge, and they swipe your Seapass each time you receive a drink -- 3 drink maximum every night? Or can you go to a designated bar and get a drink on your Seapass (between 5-7pm) then go to the Sky Lounge and drink unlimited from 5-7pm in addition to your Seapass drinks.

We did the TA on the Silhouette last April and you got three coupons per day, that was before they loaded them on the sea pass. Even if you went to Sky you had to use the coupons even for the Loyalty program. I would be surprised if they changed it to match RCL.

The question is if there are not the number of Elites on board to warrant coupons, Celebrity has begun to load up the Sea Pass with 3 drinks, and the event is held in the Sky Lounge, is it now a 3-drink limit on any and all the time, at any and every venue, and Sea pass is scanned for each drink?

For example, in the past (without coupons) you could go to the Sky Lounge between 5-7pm and have 4-5 martinis or 4-5 beers. Is it now the case (without coupons) that 3 drinks are loaded onto your Seapass, and that's it, period, exclamation point!

Just off Silhouette last Sunday. Elites happy hour was in the Sky lounge. Sea pass cards were not scanned......drink to your hearts content. Also during happy hour (s), they were passing around various hot appetizers. We were generally there around 6:15 or 6:30 (late sitting) and it was pretty empty.

Thanks, that's good news. In addition, did they have 3 drinks loaded on your Sea Pass to use at other venues should you choose, in addition to the unlimited drinks in the Sky Lounge?

Our last cruise was on Millennium in Jan 2017. Our Elite Plus coupons were loaded on our seapass cards. The laundry you just wrote Elite Plus on the slip. We did try a specialty restaurant and they did not give us our discount. We asked the Concierge in Michael's Club and the Captains Club took care of it. We do like going to the CC Events in the Sky Lounge as we like seating at the bar. On Millie the Cosmos Lounge bar was not part of the CC Elite Event. We went one night and they did not scan our seapass card. Other nights we had our drinks in MC.

Well, I don't know for sure. We had the drink package, so it was never an issue. But if I had to hazzard a guess, I would say that the 3 drinks were not loaded on the sea pass card. The free drink coupons / sea pass are only for times when there are many elites on board and they cannot accommodate everyone in the Sky Lounge. So they don't do the sky lounge thing.....just use the coupons at any bar. It's an either / or thing, not both. And the coupons were only valid between 5:00 and 7:00. We were on a TA and I went to a bar at 7:05 or so, and the bartender would not accept the coupon.

On the Equinox TA last October it was 3 daily coupons. A lot of Elites on board.

Last month's cruise on the Reflection it was in the Sky Lounge. I didn't drink more then 3 but I did not think anyone was counting.

On the Transatlantics, when the Elite coupons are good in most bars ship wide, is the forward Sky Lounge still open 5-7pm for bar service?

Last fall on the Silhouette TA the lounge was open, the coupons were being used and were required in the lounge. They had the Elite + sign at the entry but cards were not being checked.

In my humble opinion, the lounge was very well attended most nights we went there, I do not believe they were staffed well enough for the numbers and service suffered. It was also quite busy at the Passport bar and Rendezvous lounge during the 5-7 time frame.

Questions still remain -- forget TA's taken in the past as we know everyone had coupons/vouchers. These questions are for those on cruises with a reasonable amount of Elites that they don't need coupons.

1. Are your 3 Elite drinks loaded onto your seapass?

2. If they are on your seapass, did they still hold the Elite function in the Sky Lounge and did they swipe your seapass for each drink?

3. If they are loaded onto your seapass, can you get a drink at the designated bars around the ship?

4. Can you use your seapass to get a drink at a designated bar, then go to the Sky Lounge to get unlimited drinks between the hours of 5-7pm without them swiping your seapass?

5. Are the drinks loaded onto your seapass in lieu of handing out vouchers when there are lots of Elites on board?

I can drink one drink in one day, so with three elite coupons not to be wasted I have a question. Can it be used for spacialty coffee at Al Bacio?

Thanks, TD

No, not for Speciaty coffee, you can only have what is on the Elite Menu between 5 & 7pm throughout the ship if there are coupons.
