NCL stock price dropped 10% in a week?

NCL was at $55 per share on 5/2.

NCL reported quarterly results on 5/2.

profits rose 67% and They beat estimates.

 

Today (5/7), it's at $50.xx.

Why the drop in stock price?

 

Why do the prices for cabins change?

 

Supply and demand . . . :confused:

Who knows. Could just be some profit taking by institutional investors. The markets in general are not having a great time right now. January was great and then we get to early May and we're about back to beginning of the year levels.

Why the drop in stock price?

 

That's pretty common for most stocks -- good expected earnings are usually factored into the stock price before the news hits, and after the announcement there's often a sell off as people take their profits. Anything specific for NCLH would have come out in their earnings call.

yeah, im waiting for it to drop to it's 52week low ($48) then i'll buy 100 shares for the obc benefit

If the same phenomenon is happening in several Cruising companies, it is because the market is foreseeing that the profits are going down, because I dare to predict a lower demand for this type of vacation.

27 new cruise ships are coming out this year with 50+ more in the pipeline. :o

(although some of the ships are river ships, and not ocean)
