For anyone interested in booking a P&O cruise, they have a flash sale for the next two days.

Naturally, the cruises we’re looking at aren’t included in the sale. 🤷‍♂️

Maybe off-topic for an el-cheapo thread, so apologies if that is so

For anyone thinking about this years Rock the Boat/Cruisin Country cruise on Ovation, there is a flash sale ATM for one of the balcony categories, dropping by $1000pp twin. In years gone by, it was unheard for these cruises to be discounted. Great acts in the theatre each night.

Still $3200pp, so not el-cheapo, but pretty much 25% off - till 31st May

I missed out on the P&O sale! I booked the 4-nighter on the 31st May 2 weeks ago and now my inside cabin is $220 cheaper! Dammit!

You were lucky to get on at all. The cruise has been showing as sold out on & off for the past week. I am wondering if they have had a few  cancellations from passengers who were unvaxxed.

This type of cruise is  not organised by Royal but are a “ charter” by a third party promoter so pricing is controlled by them and not normally discounted. I guess current circumstances may affect their pricing and they would need to achieve a “break even” number to make the cruise a success, moneywise.

Yep, should have mentioned you can't book direct for that - Choose Your Cruise charter via Cruiseco wholesale, but handled by most good agents these days.

These are fantastic cruises, and they usually sell out in a couple of months. We usually just do them in an inside because of the pricing, so this is a good deal to get a balcony for a similar price as an inside.

Apparently tomorrow Carnival are going to release a 3 night cruise on the Carnival Splendor, ex Sydney, sailing 2nd October 2022. No pricing as yet.

Anymore details, such as will the be just an Agent / Media thing, or an actual extra cruise?

There's another P&O Flash Sale on right now, just until tomorrow I think.

Thanks, Cilla. This time both of cruises we’ve been looking at we’re in the sale so that means we now have five cruises booked for this year!

Some great Princess deals in September. Under $200 pp pd for balcony,

Bit soon for me.

The Princess cruises are leaving from Sydney, necessitating a flight from Brisbane for us. I don't think it is worth it for us.

Saw this price last week during their flash sale. Great deal if anyone got it.

When is a sale not a sale?

I received an email from P&O saying they are including the premium drinks package when you book a value fare on cruise of 7+ nights. The only problem is when I price check a balcony cabin for our 10 day PNG cruise it’s $700/person more than I paid last week.
