Lola, Lois... Still a great series! Can't wait to see what the next season is like. Hopefully they can do some filming this year.

After 10 years since our last visit, we decided it was time to get back to the Amazon, so here we are. We got an afternoon 4-hour flight from Rio de Janeiro to Manaus. Due to Covid restrictions, no lounge is opened in the airport and no in-flight service.  Arrived went to the hotel pool for drinks, appetizers, and relaxing time.

Today we visited the amazon Opera and the neighbourhood historical houses and then went to the MUSA – Museum of Amazon which is a native forest protected area near Manaus for a 2-hour guided tour and interpretation.

Back to the hotel for drinks and appetizers in the pool.

Chris and I visited the brewery (Pravda, in Lviv) when we were there in 2019. I have seen this bottle firsthand. It's 100% real. The Ukrainians in the West, and especially in Lviv, are a fiercely independent bunch.

 

I probably shouldn't post my picture of the bottle because it's a close-up. It shows a little more of Putin than I'm sure you want to see... But I love this story! Here's the brewery instead. We had a nice lunch there. With some of their beer, of course!

Today we boarded for a 4-night cruise on Rio Negro (Black River) at Iberastar Gran Amazon. I will make a review on Other Cruise Line board.

We took this cruise several years ago and I'm happy that they are still in business.  It was different as we were the only Americans onboard and very few people spoke English.  We do not speak anything but...  We had a wonderful time and saw and did a lot.  They accomodated us by separate English explanations, etc.  Have fun.
