Rare Banditswife Posted March 6, 2020 #26 Share Posted March 6, 2020 We are on a 4 day MX for May 7th aboard Miracle, we have $248 OBC for a price drop + $200 casino cash + $50 shareholder credit + now we get $100 for this new concession =$598. I will do a spa treatment, drink whatever I want. there should be no bill at the end. We already pd for a shore ex + pre pd gratuities. We are then on the 10 day AK on May 11-21st. We already have casino cash & shareholder credit + this new credit. I know we will figure out how to spend it. We may end up being shut out of ports & have sea days. I just hope things start to clear up as far as the virus is concerned.
nascargirly Posted March 6, 2020 #27 Share Posted March 6, 2020 Where did you see the 200 obc for carnival? Anybody have more info on how to claim it or if they just apply it automatically? We have a cruise booked in July.. booked through costco travel. Looked online but havent found anything about this yet.

Looked online but havent found anything about this yet. It's been all over this forum today. Not at all hard to find. It's not necessarily $200, but based on length. I saw it also on I think Yahoo News, so I am not sure how it could be missed, but they aren't offering it for cruises that far out and you would get an email. Looked online but havent found anything about this yet. online just now.... Carnival Cruise Line’s new policy updates provide options and flexibility should you want to reschedule your vacation currently booked between now and May 31, 2020, as well as incentives to proceed with your plans. Guests who choose to keep their booking as currently scheduled for departures between March 6 and May 31 will receive the following Onboard Credit (OBC) amounts: $100 per cabin for 3 and 4 day cruises $150 per cabin for 5 day cruises $200 per cabin for 6 day and longer cruises If you choose to continue to sail with Carnival, they will automatically apply your onboard credit to your sail and sign. There is no need to call Carnival.
AandBmom Posted March 7, 2020 #36 Share Posted March 7, 2020 We're getting $600 back . We've already booked and paid for cheers for 1 of us, soda for 1 of our kids, and wifi. I think we'll use the credit for a steak house dinner and the tips.
Rare SRQbeachgirl Posted March 7, 2020 #37 Share Posted March 7, 2020 We'll be getting $200 for our 9-day May 25 sailing. We've already paid gratuities, shore excursions and steakhouse, so I'm thinking we'll try to book the behind-the-scenes-tour as soon as we get on board. dave_k58 Posted March 7, 2020 #38 Share Posted March 7, 2020 I didn't see anything about "certain cruises". Does this not apply to some cruises? we are going in a couple of weeks on the Panorama
beshears Posted March 7, 2020 #39 Share Posted March 7, 2020 I did not read all the postings, but for me, the OBC will pay for my "Pixel" picture package that I have ordered ahead of time. I know the other pictures will be more expensive, but this will help out. 🙂

matymil Posted March 7, 2020 #42 Share Posted March 7, 2020 Casino, we already have $285. Just curious; having a casino rate shouldn't effect the OBC right. Im asking because I still haven't gotten an email and when I go into my print documents, I see our other $285 OBC but the $200 does not pop up. We are sailing on the Magic Mar 22nd. geckoaz Posted March 7, 2020 Author #43 Share Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) Certain Cruises meant those up to may 31 2020. There is more info on the Radiance yet to.come. i meant to modify so people further out did not get confused or hopes up. There is a separate thread on what is the obc I am just curious about how to spend it. Happy cruising. And no you can't use it to buy 200 dollars of toilet paper at costco. Jimbo is a great source of details and always spot on. Edited March 7, 2020 by geckoaz Clarity

I do not believe it makes any difference, as long as you are cruising, if you cancelled I think the original on board credit would go away,.but not positive on that, not a casino expert by any margin. Rudyard Posted March 7, 2020 #48 Share Posted March 7, 2020 We're getting $150 and were already planning to do the Behind the Fun tour, so instead of it costing $190 for two of us it'll only be $40 out of pocket. If by some reason we can't book it (we have FTTF so should get to the excursion desk before it's sold out) or change our minds we'll probably just play more bingo or eat at the steakhouse a couple of nights. klmb318 Posted March 7, 2020 #50 Share Posted March 7, 2020 From, the Carnival Website : May I purchase a Carnival Gift Card by phone? No, the Carnival Gift Card cannot be purchased by phone – they can only be purchased online at carnival.ourgiftcards.com, on board Carnival Cruise Line ships as well as at approximately 9,000 retail locations. Does anyone know if we buy the cards onboard, can we use the OBC?
