Sorry - have I gone completely bonkers finally?

Could you explain for me, please, as a internet-illiterate?  At present, don't much like whatever was done, seems a bit sinister.

Are you referring to my post?  This was a comment specifically about me, and in no way critical of you, perhaps I should not have quoted your post, if my post caused you offence then I humbly apologise.

Nor did Phil say this post either 🙂

This can happen when the Clear editor fails to clear last post and the poster has not realised it was quoting @lincslady  nothing to worry about ,we know it was not your post .

When we went away last Thursday for our current Queen Victoria cruise the forecast was showing a low this week of -1 or -2 minimum at home now showing -4 to -5 for a few nights. I’m glad that I left the heating ticking over in the day at 14c and hope that the boiler doesn’t decide to breakdown🤔

Anyway we are in Lanzarote tomorrow where 23c is forecast. As a bonus on the way down the bay of Biscay was flat calm, although it was a bit wobbly in the Brest region.😀

Well, still not much the wiser - was not offended by it, just wondered how something I had not  posted (or maybe had ages ago!) could have appeared.  If in fact people could post things under others' names you can imagine it could be pretty sinister - if glitches like this can happen, then so be it.  Had not known about it, obviously.  No harm done.

Hip hip hooray for phil's doctors. One entertaining facet of predictive is guessing what folk really wanted to say. " slime a new lease of life ?". Give up on that one.🤣

I didn’t have my specs on when I typed it!!
Should read “it’s like a new lease of life”

I think I am more sympathetic, tolerant,  forgiving and friendly, than when I was younger, but maybe it's just that my memory is getting worse.

I have no idea how that happened, and clearly my memory is getting worse, because I could swear it did not look like this when I posted it.

Sorry, this is just getting worse.  What worried me is that I was supposed to have sent that post an hour before your reply, and if you look up what I did say it is not the same.  That is all.  Surely you can understand that it appeared as if you had quoted a post under my name which I had not written - not what one wants to see, as it could cause real trouble if done with nasty intent.  I now understand that it is just a glitch which can happen.  Let us just scrub round it now, a storm in a teacup.

I hope people do realise they have up to 20 minutes to edit a post if things

are not right so can  remove before time is up .🤔

Once posted 3 dots  . . .  top right of post gives you options of Report , Share (and for 20 mins only  you can use )Edit

Yes indeed, but you have to realise an error has been made, and I guess many of us don't check after posting to make sure there are no mistakes.😯

Damn and blast! I’ve spent the whole day rolling around in a vat of green slime for a new lease of life. And now I find it was just a typo?

Still, it’s given the neighbours something to talk about………

A dilemma.  As some will know due to a pre-cruise accident and , of course age, I am in constant pain.  the problem is it is not in one place.    Due to limping all the bones in my lower back have worsened so one second I have pain in my ankle, next minute, the hip, then the back, then the other ankle, but  most in the groin.  Sometimes three places at once.

Honestly and truthfully , I feel I can tell you, I am at the end of my tether, and I am not scared of pain normally, but this  is at least 9 on the scale in more than one place.  Possibly radiating.

Consultants have just thrown opiates at me.  finally after half a dozen virtual appointments my gp has referred me to a pain clinic, but its nearly a year waiting list.

I have spent a lot of money seeing a Pain Specialist, who just chucks tablets at me, but I have found a dedicated Private Spine Clinic in Kent.   I have a copy of my mri but think if I go to this clinic  the treatment will be ongoing  and I am spending my kids inheritance and I worked hard for that.   Worst of all I feel guilty.  My kids wont care tuppence, they want their mum back, not the person who cries in pain and hangs on the wall every morning.

Shall I go for it as a last ditch effort!

Sorry  I am a real tough old bird but  it got too much today  and  I needed to talk.

Indiana nothing worse than being in pain all the time it just drags you down. Why not try this new clinic so how it goes, you’ve got nothing to feel guilty about I’m sure your kids would rather you be pain free and have you back as you used to be. Take care I’m sure you will make the right decision.

I know if you were my mum I would take no pleasure in seeing you in pain and I'm sure

they find it upsetting and would do "whatever it takes" to find a pain free mum again .

You have to look after yourself before you can look after anyone else .

When hopefully in many year from now when your dead and gone , you have the

chance to leave your kids with memories of a pain free mum ?

You cannot put a price on that , so you are doing it for them not just yourself .🙂

You have good advice from posts above ,there's nothing to feel guilty about .

Go for it thers nothing to lose , best of luck with it -  Take care .

Sorry to hear you are suffering so much, your pains sound like the ones I was suffering but on a lesser scale for me. I am assuming that you have had your hips x- rayed along the way? I was surprised how far the pain can travel from the hip plus nerves get trapped and you walk funny to compensate. I found the sacroiliac belt worked for me, I tried a plain one then as my pain and movement got worse got the one pictured. Good luck whatever you do.

I think you have to try all avenues. I also think you have answered your own question by saying the kids “just want their Mum back” - and that to them is absolutely priceless. Go for it as you would otherwise you will always wonder if this place might have made the pain much more bearable.

😘

Your health comes first and if this clinic helps go for it.

Good luck.
