From our time in rural Spain, our local restaurants didn't even open until 20:30 !

Oh happy days having business dinners in Barcelona, where drinking started at 9:00 and eating around 11:00.  Then they expected us Brits to be bright eyed and bushy tailed for the meeting at 9:00am, I must have made some horrendous purchase decisions in Spain.🤔

I have had the same experiences!  However,  my Spanish business associates tended to be rather more abstemious than me.

Perhaps that is where we went wrong !

(Never saw many Spanish bright eyed at 9 am - they would arrive at the office at 8:30, and shortly after disappear for black coffee and tostada con tomates !)

I'm a regular visitor to southern Spain and find I go on to a completely different time zone. At the weekend, I don't go out for a drink much before midnight and may not get back to the apartment until 4am. At home, I'm always in bed before midnight...🤔😀

That is pretty excessive - apart from when the fiesta was on, our village shut down at midnight or so.

There is a marked difference between "holiday" Spain and "real" Spain.  Sounds to me that you are talking about holiday Spain.

Not really. The bars I use are multi-national but attract many Spaniards. The bars are usually open until 3am and the nightclubs to 6am. Whilst there are plenty of holiday-makers in the bars I use, the people I socialise with are mostly residents.

OK, I see your point -  we lived in an inland village with no tourists,  so a different experience to being on the coast with holiday makers.

On a snowy, icy night in February, there were not many bars open at midnight,  let alone 3am.

The sore throat and bunged up nose that I have had the past few days has decided to progress today, so have husky voice, cough and streaming nose. I haven't been out inside anywhere the past few weeks so OH must have brought it back from occasional supermarket shop or lunch with friend last week. She had sore throat earlier in the week before me but it didn't progress.

I think that today is when I can book my booster jab online for next month so will try later.

Booster jab booked online, today is the first day I could book.

13th December is 6 months minus a day since my 2nd. My first 2 were AZ with no after effects have people noticed any more symptoms from the booster dose being Pfizer?

When I complemented grapau27 on how handsome he looked and how well he looked in his Polo shirt, I did not mean to start a discussion on the size of his logo 🙂

grapau27 looks so happy, so relaxed, and so so hot, dont you agree ?

No offence to Graham, but I have never considered his temperature.🤣

Just received a letter through the post advising me to book my flu jab. So will ring the surgery on Monday and see if I can get it done there. Had my booster last Saturday, so after this will be well jabbed!!

Busy day today. Out to lunch with Mum and youngest daughter before she heads of to Australia next week. I then have an interview this afternoon.

The vaccination symptoms will vary from person to person. We had our Pfizer boosters yesterday, and as of this moment I'm fine, not even a sore arm, but we were told that any effects can occur up to 4 days later, so I won't feel too complacent yet. However Frank on the other hand is still in bed. He was fine when we went to bed, but woke in the night with a pounding head and a temperature, so I've been playing nurse most of the night. He's still fast asleep, but seems to be settled now. He reacted the same after his 2nd AZ jab, so maybe that's an indication as to how you could react to the Pfizer booster. Either way it's all worth it😉

Just re-read my post above, and from the silly spelling, (neither) and  the missing word,(gone) and it was😁, simply proves what sleepless night I've had.

Well that's my excuse anyway, and I'm sticking to it😉

Oh heck, I'm still doing it!!!🙄

Thank you to Wowzz, Avril and Graham for their Good Luck wishes with regards my interview.

Think it went OK, but now have to wait until Tuesday to find out if I've been successful.🤞

Had a nice meal out beforehand, my daughter went for sausages and mash while Mum and I chose tiger prawns with chilli and garlic butter, but as I was driving stuck to a soft drink, but will make up for the missed wine intake this evening!!
