Good morning.  Sorry for those of you experiencing rain & possible snow.

Beautiful sunny Saturday in Sydney.

Jacarandas are in bloom right now

Ship of the Day - Grand Princess.  Let the summer cruising season begin.BDD9BABD-1082-4241-B1BC-219D059F53B5.thumb.jpeg.fcd1735b5273b32ae2ac92562c764fef.jpeg

Photo from the platform from Circular Quay station.  You can see how short the walk is to the OPT.  Reason we always train it in for cruises that leave from the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

Today, off to Bondi Beach.  Photos later.

Lovely photos.   It is coming to pick us up next weekend.

So is the museum to the left of the ship there @aussielozzie18  We are usually mesmerised by that fantastic view and sit down at one of the cafes, coffee in hand, just taking it all in.

Beautiful day for the annual Sculptures by the Sea on the coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama Beach.  It wasn’t too hot despite the appearance of this sculpture ….30D8E6F4-2F0B-48A3-8DF8-B3773F204056.thumb.jpeg.ce3b581b9ecbd064cb943f75869f35d8.jpeg

The idea behind this sculpture - a shell with feet - is to encourage people to walk more

Sorry to hear he isn’t in the best of health. I think it was you that posted a picture of a heated kitty bed. We want to get one for Chloe. Is this the one? What do you think about it?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HMVNJC2/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Thanks, Renee.  Yes, that is the same heated bed we got for Marcel.  We first bought the sage colored one the same as in the link you provided.  Marcel enjoyed it right away.  We then bought a second one that is brown but identical to the sage one.  It was priced less than the sage one, but I found no difference between the two.  We put the brown one upstairs in his room, and kept the sage one downstairs in our living room because it is prettier.

https://www.amazon.com/Pet-Products-3192-Thermo-Kitty-Heated/dp/B07HMVNXXS?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1

After Marcel sleeps in it he gets out and plops down on the floor to cool off.  After 5 or 10 minutes he often goes right back into the bed.  It does not get hot to touch, but I put a folded bath towel in the bed anyway.

After seeing how much Marcel liked it, my son bought the same bed for their two cats.  Unfortunately, and neither one of them will lay in it.

Sounds very nice.  Enjoy.

We have boated by it, when my parents lived on Pine Island.  Most of the time, when we were out, we would end up at Captiva.

We love staying at Tween Waters Island Resort on Captiva.

It's the building of the anticipation of the excitement that going to happen on the cruise.  For me, it begins before i even reach the cruise terminal, before the airline terminal or even the drive to the airport.  The night before is when it begins and builds with each successive step along the way.

You guys are really making me miss cruising. Still 35 days to go for the Odyssey. Seems so far away.

Tomorrow is disembarkation. Every good thing has to end so another can begin.

Greg. I hope you are enjoying every bit of your cruise

I have saved your "Live" for when I get back home.....just to not get the after cruise blues.

Enjoy your last evening onboard.  Three of my friends will be boarding Equinox in the morning for one of their "Girls" cruises.  I told them how much John and Laura are enjoying the entertainment, and that they're in for a treat this coming week.

Say, I do have a question for you, or for anyone who lives in your area.

The house we rented, for our Christmas / New Year get away this year is up in Pompano Beach.   We will have now stayed several places between here and Hollywood, but this is the farthest north.   Do you have any restaurant recommendations up that way?   We are always looking for new places to try, but we still like them to be kid friendly, since our grandkids will be with us.

We typically have breakfast and lunch at the house, but like to take everyone out to dinner.   I know the kids will want Bubba Gumps one night, Rustic Inn Crabhouse, and probably Benihana for NYE.

Thanks for any recommendations you may have.

@LuckynanaWhat a beautiful group!  Maryann, you look very familiar.

Thank you, Marietta.  With the Island being small when we were growing up, we more than likely were in the same place at one time or another;  High School basketball games, St. Patrick's Parades, Forest Avenue Bars, Demyans, and then there's the activities our kids may have been involved in.

I grew up in Tompkinsville, and after I got married, I lived in Tottenville for 42 years.
