Mandalay5 Posted June 5, 2020 #27 Share Posted June 5, 2020 It was horrible! (insert perceived bad experience here including weather and problems with fellow passengers). How do I remove the DSC?
Roger88 Posted June 5, 2020 #28 Share Posted June 5, 2020 I remember how people were complaining about the crisis during US elections in 2008. Ohh boy, people we were going crazy. But now looking back at these times I understand that it was nothing compared to what is going on right now. Will see how it goes, I dont want it to happen again. We had enough of it already
IrieBajan54 Posted June 5, 2020 #29 Share Posted June 5, 2020 (edited) The one item I miss is the tips/gratuities threads. Tremendous entertainment value. You have one side that think the cruise lines should include it in the fare or it should be given the old fashion way in an envelope or removed completely and etc. VERSUS the other side who brag that they always over-tip, how poor the crew is, the long hours they work, how cheap the other side is, and etc. 😃 Edited June 5, 2020 by IrieBajan54 correction
mamajean1113 Posted June 5, 2020 #30 Share Posted June 5, 2020 Too much smoke in the casino; just go on line at guest services and get your money back for tips; the service is too slow... I can go on and on, I love cruising and to me I am on vacation and I don't sweat the little things!

I'm booked in a Haven cabin but my cousin's mother is in a regular cabin. Can we board together? My family is in a 2 bedroom Haven suite. My in-laws are in an inside cabin. Can they eat with us in the Haven? My daughter's friends are not in the Haven. Can they come to the Haven sundeck with us? Will the butler serve dinner to my friends, relatives, and second cousins that visit me in my suite? 1

CILCIANRQTS Posted June 6, 2020 #36 Share Posted June 6, 2020 People trying to compare pricing of two cruises by spending hours and hours assigning an arbitrary value to every minor element of cruising...and then thinking they’ve reached a valid conclusion that everyone else should agree with! 🤔
Rare Nclgetawaymenhoney Posted June 6, 2020 #37 Share Posted June 6, 2020 Bidding on a upgrade questions and why when I bid the minimum on a sold out Xmas cruise and not get the upgrade and they are shocked they didn't get the upgrade
Markanddonna Posted June 6, 2020 #38 Share Posted June 6, 2020 "How about 'when is spring break'?" Or when is the best time to cruise without having a bunch of kids onboard? (the real answer to #2 is never.) I love this thread!

Still do not understand the controversy. It is a preference. Those who can do. Hey maybe I just hijacked this thread with a difference of opinion. Let the bashing begin. I so agree! Why are people so hung up on what others are wearing? If I feel like wearing something dressy to dinner, I don't care if I'm seated beside someone in a polo shirt, why should anyone? My husband always brings a coat & tie, sometimes doesn't put it on, but maybe he'll want to. I used to bring at least 3 evening gowns on a cruise. Some of the most fun we've ever had was Queen Victoria last spring, dining early in the Lido, settling in to chairs with a glass of champagne to watch the gorgeous ones go by on formal night. Loucat Posted June 8, 2020 #44 Share Posted June 8, 2020 This thread is a hoot! I miss complaints about chair hogs-none here so no need to complain! Complaints about the pools overrun with kids. I miss reading complaints about food but likely they were spot on. I miss complaints of being unable to access concierge lounges. I miss complaining of my own experiences : ) No cruise-no complaints! TruckerDave Posted June 8, 2020 #45 Share Posted June 8, 2020 Maybe not a complaint but the...…."is the (insert food, beverage, cabin, ship, curise line etc etc here) really that bad" threads. Or...."will I like (again insert show, cabin, food etc etc)?".....and of course the always popular.."what is the best (hotel, airline, cruise line, way to get to the port)" threads. GA Dave Posted June 8, 2020 #46 Share Posted June 8, 2020 (edited) - Why doesn’t NCL Haven match MSC Yacht or RCL Star services for the price of an inside? - I have 14,000 cruises on Every line that ever existed and my last NCL Cruise was the absolute worst ever! - How much should I bid to get an upgrade? How much did you bid? Do they ignore bids from Platinum? Do Platinum Bids get picked first? Edited June 8, 2020 by GA Dave 1
