@miaandmum Did you have to register in advance for your daughter’s test at the terminal, or was that just done when you arrived?

By all accounts after speaking to RCL the LFT for unvacc people is done when they check in at port as part of their checkin, hence why check in at time provided or selected

Just noticed in my planner there is a hop on hop off bus tour for belfast cost about £60pp.  Was googling the same thing and found the same thing for £15pp, ok so Royal is doing better yea, well no, they have used the exact same photo of a woman sitting on the bus as the £15 tour, except they have photo shopped the logo on the bus seat to remove it!

So they are basically charging you 4 times the price for the exact tour on the same bus, or they have breached copyright by steeling a photo from a competitors website.  Assuming it's the first, thats one heck of a mark up.

Does it come anywhere near the ship or do you need to get a cab to the centre of Belfast to join the tour?

Our experience of having the test prior to Anthem on this Sunday was good.

We had to drive to a local hotel on Thursday at 9.20 am and the test was administered professionally by Eurofins who had previously done our test at the dock in Southampton when we sailed on Regal.

Our results came through at 7.43 am on Friday so less than 24 hours later.

Very efficient system.

Thanks for this.

I'm relieved to read that Eurofins is doing testing at the dock for at least some lines.  We sail in 8 days on Anthem and ate from outside the UK.  We're supposed to be tested at the dock day of, but still don't have the registration link (RCI keeps promising we will get it in time).  I'd called Eurofin initially when sent the UK resident link and they told me they don't do any at the pier testing, but RCI keeps telling me it'll be Eurofin.

After reading another thread about pool hogging, does anyone know if there is a limit to how many people can use the pools at once?

Yes, or at least they were on the 15th Aug sailing. Not sure what the *actual* number of people allowed in the pool at the same time was, but both the inside and the outside pools were limited. When it was busy my kids got about 20 mins in the pool then asked to get out. The pools have a rope around them and a single entry/exit point manned by RC staff. Anyone waiting queued at this point and waited for someone to get out, generally on a "1 in, 1 out" basis. Barring a couple of days it was quite chilly and I did feel sorry for anyone queuing to get in the outdoor pool.  Didn't visit the Solarium but I assume it was the same.

The sailing we were on had ~1500 passengers (350 kids) so the queues weren't too bad.

Yes, friends have just caught cab into centre for £10

That's great news, I wonder why Celebrity passengers were not allowed off the week before, but now it's okay

This thread has been very helpful and so nice to see Anthem sailing and hearing other's experiences.  One thing I'm wondering...since it seems like most things have to be reserved now, can you book things more than once (one booking at a time, but book again after you've gone if available)?  I'm specifically wondering about things like bumper cars, see We Will Rock You again (if leftover seats), iFly?

I don't know if the rules will change with Covid but in my previous experience, it just depends on whether there is availability.

I managed to do the ifly three times 18 months ago despite quite full capacity but not so much interest with it. I saw Spectra cabaret a couple twice on two sailings.

Just curious did you bid much above the minimum

Can't remember the exact amount of the minimum bid but I was very close to the no bid mark.  I bid $1050 for the both of us.  Added to the original fare It cost $2600

How does the Casino work, do they have a USD ATM on the ship or do you use your pass to gamble with, which could be a bit dangerous haha.

I may exchange a few Dollars before I get on board incase the exchange rate they use is bad

Ir's best to take dollars with you, if you charge it to your sea pass card they will charge you an additional 5%.

We always take the ‘gambling money’ in cash, hubby likes to feed the slots 😬. Strangely enough it’s something that he only does whilst on a cruise, he never sets foot in a casino on land (as far as I know lol).

Just got off Anthem. Shows you cannot book to see more than once, same with the complimentary North Star and iFly. However, bumper cars you can book multiple times.

We saw WWRY and tried to book to see it again after loving it so much but couldn't even though there were seats available. No stand by lines for the shows either.

Depending on when you sail these limits might be lifted.
