May I ask what cabin you are in???  If you are not comfortable answering until after you are off the ship I completely understand.  As I mentioned in a previous post I have never sailed in a suite before but now considering it, so this is all new territory for me as to how to choose a suite (although I imagine they are all good locations!)

It's next to that Magic Carpet thing. It is the usual Sky suite but we have a very large balcony and we have the remote window curtain and lights gadgets.

If you sign up for a ship excursion you do not have to wait in the line.  The Concierge in The Retreat can do this for you.  As well as almost all Guest Services does.

Or you could sign up using your app or using the Celebrity interactive tv.  You get a quick confirmation.

So, you have an S3 with the bed on the side wall; no magic window.  Only the S1 afts have the largest  balconies of these three different location of suites that are Sky suites.  The S1 corner afts also have the bed on the side wall.  The S1's and S2's have the magic window with the beds facing out to the ocean.  Of course, these are a tad more expensive.

It depends on what you call a good location.  The S3's are by the magic carpet, have the beds by the side wall, along with no magic see-through window to the ocean from the bathroom.  You can have this open or closed.  The S2's has the magic windows with the beds facing the ocean.  S1's also have the beds facing the ocean with the magic window, but have a more centered location.  14 of the S1's are corner aft suites on decks 6-12.  They have the bed facing the wall, but with a huge balcony overlooking the wake, along with a higher price.  Also, these suites share a small hallway(foyer) with the cabin next to it and provide  a longer walk to venues on the ship.  So, your choice and price range!  The best views and huge balconies, IMHO, are the S1 corner afts...but if you want the magic window and the bed facing the ocean, book an S2.  Take a look at the decks to visually see what I am talking about. Also, look at the cabin reviews for all the Sky Suites before you make your choice.  In other wards, do your homework and choose based on your own criteria of what's important to you!

Are they still requiring vaccinated guests to book Celebrity excursions in Cozumel? Royal and Carnival are other allowing vaccinated guest to do private excursions or go into town. Masks are still required.

Thanks.

Haven’t asked about Cozumel.  But, I’m thinking they’re truing to stay away from tours they haven’ or  can’t verify using their protocols.  I’ll ask!

  • Back to the suites features: my paperwork says that we are in a S3 and we have the "magic windows". Huge balcony too.
  • About the "porn stars", you can't miss them. I will try to take a picture and post it, it's worth it. They are in a suite, we checked in at the same time but we have not seen them in the Retreat or Luminea.
  • Our concierge tells us about 60% of total capacity but with all suites full. It does not feel crowded.

I have confidence you will post those pics of the stars. Inquiring minds want to know...

I was having cocktails with some new found friends (and 2 alleged porn stars…at least they said they were) on the Magic Carpet as we were doing “horn wars” with the Odyssey of the Seas and a Disney ship docked as it was one of the most memorable and awesome SAILAWAYs I’ve ever experienced.

Still waiting for pics :classic_angry::classic_biggrin:

So, I was hoping to post vids from my GoPro.  No dice, as it seems the web site has limits on VIDs.  But, I’ll keep posting pics, even though those have been proving challenging to post, too.  Not an issue on the WiFi on board (it’s actually pretty good).

We have DOCKED in COSTA MAYA!

I do have a LOT MORE pics to post, but whatever the issue is with uploading will be resolved by the time I get home.

LOVE your posts; you are SO funny!! Are you allowed to walk around the port area of Costa Maya on your own? Specifically, can you go watch the dolphins? TIA!

Those dolphins in the caged in area there sort of make me sad...I can't really watch them.

How does one get a $2404 USD credit?

I think it was a combination of price drop as well as dropping the solo supplement when it turned out he would be sailing alone, rather than with his girlfriend.

Also correct!  Which reminds me, I have to hit the jewelry store tonight.

So, just got back from wandering around Costa Maya.  Strange.

I’ve been here probably 6-7 times.  It’s usually packed, people shoulder to shoulder.  Hotter than Hades.  Not so today.  Breezy and warm.

Mask wearing at the port is mandatory by the local gov’t.  Not too bad, but if it were warmer, probably would be uncomfortable.  Fortunately, the Celebrity provided masks are high quality and comfortable.

Bars are usually rocking.  They ain’t rocking now, but the drinks are flowing.  Shouts of “…..almost free today….” Rings out from the shops.  No lines or people hawking tours.

I know they have a ruins tour and a beach tour you could take (which I’ve done many times in the past).  Saw a couple of snorkelers but no towel carrying beach people getting off the ship.  Or, you can take a taxi that is a part of  the port’s authorized transports, but I didn’t see any at all anywhere near the port.

Stores right off the dock are open.  Some are lightly stocked, some are full and ready to rock.  But, they are all super glad to see us.

You can tell they’re just reopening, and there are some kinks to work out.  They are all happy to see the cruise ship passengers, though.  I believe week after week, it will get better and better.  Just don’t expect the light switch turned on and everything is back to normal.

My opinion, these ports will drive mask wearing and vaccination requirements more than any U.S. entity.

Glad I got to see it.  Happy they are getting their groove back, albeit slowly.

You also have to be handsome and charismatic to get that kind of OBC.  And, not that I’m a stickler, but that figure was corrected to $2464.

This is all in jest, btw!
