Thanks for taking us along!  We are booked for an 8 night in Feb.  I’m wondering if anyone can help…I’m trying to figure out for an ocean view balcony, if the bed is by the bathroom or balcony.  For cabin 7524.  Any help is appreciated!!

Bed by the balcony.

Here is the methodology:

The connecting cabins method:

The connecting cabin on the right side when looking at both from corridor will always have the sofa by the balcony and bed by the bathroom. Again every second cabin over from that cabin will have the same sofa and bed position and in between ones will have the opposite layout or the same as the left side connecting cabin which is bed by balcony, sofa by bathroom.

This means that in the connected pair, the cabin on the LEFT will have the bed by the balcony.  7536 is such a cabin.  So, 7524 is the same as 7536.   Bed by the balcony.

Also:  Cabins with a sofabed (* in deck plans), the bed is by the bathroom.  Since your cabin is next to * cabins, YOUR cabin has the bed by the balcony.

🙂

Thanks, @JessyCruises! I really enjoy my overplanning, so I’m frustrated that I haven’t been able to do it since the itinerary switch!

Hope you get the Grand Suite, too! We had one on our last cruise pre pandemic and I’m now totally spoiled. We’re in a Boardwalk Balcony next month on Allure and I’m already feeling cramped! I didn’t have the option to bid on anything higher than a JS, so I’m hoping we get that. If not, I’ll be happy in the room we have, but a girl can dream, right?

I agree with  @Merion_Mom about Mike! We thought he was awesome, too!

Hello: Would it be possible for you to post the MDR menus, in order, for the 8 night cruise? The app only shows nights 1 and 2 and I am trying to plan what nights would be best do specialty restaurants. Much appreciated!

Hi Jessy!

I am really enjoying reading your thread!

I do have one question, and it's not a normal one. If you are around guest services at all can you ask them where the service dog potty station is? I am going on Odyssey in April with my service dog. I want to be able to map out the best way to get there from our cabin.

Enjoy your trip and I look forward to hearing/seeing more!

Love this thread! 🥰 We are sailing on her September 25th. I, too, am an over planner but have been trying to not get too excited yet.

Thanks!  I have been stalking Cruise Critic, Facebook and You Tube like a mad woman 😂

I don't remember if I have had him before.  Was he one of the ones that was doing the podcast? I forget the name of it at the moment.

He also came as a guest on Abe Hughes' Facebook page and Dreaming of the Seas. Did you follow those any? Abe did an incredible job for MANY months on there.

I can answer that as I found out for you. I believe we are on the TA together. I was on the 8/8 sailing and will also be on the 8/28. So here goes. Guset services told me that the potty station will be located on deck 5 but did not know whether it would be port or starboard, forward or aft. They will not know until it actually happens. I know this is not what you wanted to hear but was the only answer I could get. If there are other questions i'll be happy to try to answer them.

For those of you thinking about bringing a fan, I usually do but since I sailed solo on 8/8 I decided not to. The thermostat in the room went down to 66°F. For me it was perfect for sleeping.

That is great and should work for me.  Thanks for sharing!

Yes we are! I had asked but I am really shy and didn't want to bother you to see if you had asked for me.

Thank you so much for asking! I might not really fully be able to map it out until we are on board anyway. This is my first time taking her on a cruise so I'm a little on the nervous side. I'm trying to do everything I possibly can to be prepared!

Chris Wong, a casino host, posts really informative videos on YouTube including walkthroughs of the ship.  I highly recommend them.

Mike, Cruise Director, is fabulous.  His jokes are really corny but make me laugh.

I enjoy Chris's blogs too! Isn't the Allure's CD name Marc or am I mistaken?

You'd think they could just put some code on the deck plan with config.....like Outie or Innie

I just posted on the main thread.  So a new protocol email came out today that was kind of confusing so I msged the RCL Facebook page for clarification.  This new email and the rep are now saying Vaccinated passengers not only need to get a test no more than 3 days prior to sail date but we ALSO need to get a PCR test at the port.  That does not make much sense and contradicts their website.  I am still waiting for clarification but I and others on my sailing are VERY confused.
