Where do people drink on Royal class??

We have recently returned from the Regal, this was our first time on a Royal Class ship.  We found the Wheelhouse was tiny compared to the older ships and we could never get in, Crooners wasn't that big and always full, Princess live is shut off and the bar only has about 6 tables.  There just seemed to be a lack of a larger lounge, I know there is the Vista lounge but very often you couldn't get in there as it was either full or there were theTier events.  And I gather on the Sky they don't even have a Crooners!  So where do you go for sit down and a drink of an evening??

On the Majestic last month, we loved going to Vines for a glass of wine, but they also have liquor. Great atmosphere and staff!  That ship also had a great bar filled with bartenders with flair called Good Spirits. They were able to listen to your description of what you wanted (taste-wise) and recommend great options, not to mention the mini-show watching their skills.

We usually found a spare seat on those ones outside Princess Live on Regal and found the best waitress there.

On Sky Princess, the Crown Bar is much larger with much more seating (no Library) although we finished off each night at Bellinis (where the Piazza Bar usually is) .

You nailed it. Royal Class ships lack sufficient lounges. Seating is limited especially when the passenger crowd preference is to stay for a long evening. The two newer Royal Class ships, Enchanted and Discovery have added additional lounges. They have brought back Crooner's, missing on the Majestic and Sky. They have also turned Princess Live into a table & chair venue eliminating the poorly designed studio seating you saw on the Regal. Club 6 has been changed into a jazz club with better lounge seating than the Club 6 bench seating you saw on the Regal.

It is beyond me how Princess can make these kind of design mistakes. It is as if none of the decision makers have ever been on board a cruise ship for an actual voyage.

We were on the Sky last Dec/January and loved Take 5 - it is a very large lounge and has a very long bar.  With the regal, we did go to Crooners, but you need to pick the right time, on our transatlantic is was very empty but in the Caribbean it is busy  , we usually try to go around 6ish - or after dinner - around 8 ish

Perhaps when they start making some money, they will retro-fit some of the older ones with the newer concepts.  Recall they finished off and opened the center stairwells after that poor design decision.
