So is everyone allowed to get off and go home or aren't they disembarking until tomorrow morning?

I assume the dock workers and RCCL personel are not there so it's impossible for them to let you off right?

Yeah I’m assuming we can’t get off without customs here and they didn’t mention anything about getting off. I would’ve went hone after dinner if it was an option.

They just announced that we’ll be back in Bayonne tonight by 9:30 for a medical emergency unrelated to Covid. Happy the for the patient but bummed for the rest of us because they’re going to close the shops and the casino at 7pm today.

That's crazy.  Same thing happened on our 10/12 cruise.

We arrived back in Bayonne at 11:30.  Debarkation went normally.

On Anthem out of NJ medical emergencies were always happening on the sailings I was on, which usually were longer than a week, thus probably attracting an older average crowd, too. It was rare a sailing wouldn't have at least one diversion or helicopter evacuation, or quick return to a port, or late departure, at some point, for a medical emergency. So not at all surprised Oasis is having similar issues with passengers.

I have to wonder if they've ever considered some sort of high speed evacuation hovercraft they could have onboard instead of diverting the entire ship in every situation.

It appears that Oasis of the Seas should be passing under the Verrazano Bridge soon. She should be at Cape Liberty, as the Captain suggested by around 9:30. I really hope everything goes well for the passenger.

Oasis of the Seas come back to Cape Liberty around 8 hours early. . . . The ship appears lovely as she passes the Manhattan skyline.

All passengers should begin debarkation tomorrow morning.

The Radio "Pressroom" won't be packed up until tomorrow afternoon when I board.

Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 1 of “LIVE” from Oasis of the Seas. I am currently enjoying a freshly brewed cup of delicious coffee while at my Pre-cruise Hotel. I am staying at Marriott Residence Inn in nearby Elizabeth, NJ. I only have about a 15 min ride over to Bayonne. It is a very nice hotel that is very clean, and the staff is very friendly.

My boarding appointment is for later today at 1:30PM, and the cabins should all be open by then.  The weather forecast for today is sunny and 80F.

I still have to pack up the Radio Pressroom, and make sure my documents are handy to show the Terminal Representatives.   I have some friends that I will be meeting on board, and it will be nice to say hello again after a couple of years.

I will be posting next from Oasis of the Seas this afternoon.

Thanks for tuning in.

Radio, if you can please check to see what day the Cheers with an Officer is for Diamond Plus with over 340 loyalty points. Thank you & have a fantastic cruise.

Oh! I knew there was one question from our 9/19 cruise so forgot to answer! Sorry about that! I believe the “Cheers” was on day 6, as I recall chatting with someone who did it.

Radio  can verify, or crush my recollection 😂😂

I'm not gonna lie, on my MSC Divina review last week, I was going to include Radio.  I was going to say, The Divina backs slowly away from the pier in "memory": of Radio  😲 , but, didn't think anyone on the MSC board would know him.  Now, I find out he is alive and kicking!  😍 Who am I thinking of, who wrote RC reviews and passed a few years ago?   Glad to hear you're still cruising, Radio, welcome aboard! 😜

I think you are thinking of Trainman. His reviews were wonderful. The boards miss him😔

So difficult to read your post in script & green. Don’t know how it shows up on your end but this is what I’m seeing.

Watching the news.  🤣

Knowing Radio, he's getting his cabin and press room set up, having lunch, taking pics and vids and working on his next post.  LOL

Not a single drop of rain. Awesome cruise.
