I read that the drink package was buy one, get one 50% on the last sailing.  Can you tell us if it is the same for today's trip!!!

I can confirm they were running a Buy one get second at 50% off in the Boardwalk when I saw them.

Hello everyone and good day. I made it to the pier around 1:30 but there was a little bit of a wait outside with passengers waiting to get into the terminal.
The line had about 300 passengers. Only about 50 were allowed to enter at a time. I waited about 30 minutes and was at security by 2pm.
The rest of the check-in went pretty smooth. All required documents went through smoothly. I was on board by around 2:30.

There will be many pics later, but here are a few from embarkation. We left the pier at 5PM. Our next stop is Port Canaveral.

Thanks for tuning in.

For those who asked about the Buy One, Get One half off beverage package. yes that offer was on today.

Here is an image of the pricing information.  The first guest pays $82 per day, the second guest pays $41 per day, plus gratuities. I have seen it on sale on the Pre-Cruise Planner for as low as $53 per person per day.  If you don't get a sale before boarding, this seems to be a good deal as it works out to $61.50 each, plus the gratuities.

We just got off the Oasis this morning.  We had a great cruise.  We highly recommend the Pub for the crew and the excellent guitar player.  A great place to relax and enjoy a talented guitar player with a very good 60s & 70s repertoire (if this is spelled wrong, I blame spell checker).

It was so nice to be back onboard.  There were less than half of max occupancy, and things were handled very well in these strange times.

I was hoping I would be able to get the 1/2 off the second person, having already paid the $53 presale price. Doesn’t pay for me at those rates. Bummer.

So happy to be reading another Radio Live report!  You've been missed.  Smooth sails to you with an abundance of Starbuck's and news watching when needed. 😉

Over and out!

Hahaha, thanks BonTexasNY. My first of many visits to Starbucks began last night.

I certainly be "watching a lot of news" over the next 14 days.

Hello everyone, Good morning and Welcome to day 2 of "LIVE" from Oasis of the Seas.
Yesterday was a busy day, but Cruise Day always is. It can be a little stressful, but still exciting.

I haven't been able to view most of the "New Amplifications" yet, but I have 14 days to explore Oasis of the Seas. I borrowed my first impression of the ship from a famous Star Wars movie quote, by thinking "Impressive, young Skywalker"

The upgrades and amplifications so far have truly been impressive.

I woke up this morning at "Radio Dark30" and went down to Cafe Promenade on Deck 5 for some coffee. Internet access has been very good in the indoor public areas, and very bad on the open decks.

I had dinner last night with a good friend at Giovanni's in Central Park on Deck 8. It was fantastic. I have been reading reviews about Giovanni's that were not very favorable. I can only guess that things are much better as the meal I had last night was fantastic.

Here are a few images from early this morning. Yes it is very dark, and yes there are very few passengers awake. I do like the ship when it is very quiet.

Thanks for tuning in.

Welcome back! I've missed your "Live" reviews, and this one definitely gets me ready for our 10-17 sailing on the Oasis.

Can you confirm if you received your Diamond Plus amenity in your cabin? There was some discussion that they discontinued them.

Just trying to figure out if we need to bring wine, or count on the perk.

Have fun!

Morning Radio. I'm really interested in what you decide to do in Port Canaveral today. We stop there Saturday on our 9 night cruise on Indy out of Galveston. I'm still trying to figure out what to do IF I leave the ship.

What did you have, and what do you recommend? I’ve also heard so-so things about Giovanni’s, but Jamie’s on Anthem was our favorite meal on the ship.

On Anthem out of NJ medical emergencies were always happening on the sailings I was on, which usually were longer than a week, thus probably attracting an older average crowd, too. It was rare a sailing wouldn't have at least one diversion or helicopter evacuation, or quick return to a port, or late departure, at some point, for a medical emergency. So not at all surprised Oasis is having similar issues with passengers.

I have to wonder if they've ever considered some sort of high speed evacuation hovercraft they could have onboard instead of diverting the entire ship in every situation.

We live in NJ and my wife refuses to sail on Anthem out of Bayonne.  Between the infamous storm video, propulsion issues, and medical emergencies she'd rather spend the extra on airfare to FL.

We've cruised out of NJ 7 times on three ships (Anthem, Ex and X Summit.  We haven't had any issues that I can recall.  Heck, we've had more issues out of Baltimore (10 times out of there) than anywhere else but it doesn't stop us from going from there.  One trip we had 30 ft seas coming back to Baltimore.

Waiting for more Radio updates 🙂

We've cruised out of NJ on Quantum.  The port is not her issue.
