Drinks On Us casino offer

I'm sailing Magic next week on a casino offer I booked back in 2020 (offer code: OUV)

It included Drinks On Us in the casino only. Will I be the only one to get the perk, or will my spouse also have it?

I found a link to the terms but it's not clear to me. Anyone book and already sail under this code and know?

Someone on here posted recently to contact the casino (different company than Carnival)and ask for the 2nd person in room to be included and they did, but I haven't been able to find the post. Does anyone have the direct email for the casino? It is a separate company from Carnival.

Every offer I've gotten is different.  When I get Free Drinks Anywhere, it's usually just for me.

I've also gotten DOU in casino and some are for me and others include a companion.

I mostly cruise solo so it doesn't matter for me.

Pretty sure I booked an upcoming cruise under this rate.  Where can I find the rate codeon my reservation?

I have casino offers booked and while the Booking /Details page shows the OBC, it doesn't list the offer code or mention the Drinks On Us.

Don't know how to link the page but, Google OceanPlayersClub and find page to verify your casino offer. They respond within 2 days.

My daughter and I just got off the 10/24 Pride cruise.  I got the "free drinks while gambling" offer and we hoped, after last cruise (9/12 Pride cruise) when we accidentally discovered she was eligible for free drinks the whole time on the last day, it would happen again.  She went to the casino bar and they said she was not eligible.  We both went to the casino host and shared the 9/12 experience plus the 10/24 casino bar experience.  She said my daughter IS eligible for the free drinks and she "fixed it" in the computer right there so that the casino barstaff could see it.  She also said that if my daughter had been playing and ordered a drink, the bill would have been $0.00 regardless of what the casino staff can "see" when they look.  For those who don't know, you don't have to order a drink off their menu for it to be free while playing.  I order a Grey Goose and St. Germain martini, shaken and with two rocks in a rock glass most of the time.  They are happy to do it.

We have this on our next cruise. What happens when you just go to the casino, put $ in a slot machine, order a drink, play slow until it arrives, stop playing immediately and leave after getting the drink? Not going to do this (not much of a drinker). Just curious.

Of course you can do that.

But you might have to wait a while to order your drink and to get it. That is a lot of time wasted that could be spent doing other things.

The idea of drinks on us in the casino is for those that would already sit in the casino, at a slot machine or table game for hours anyways.

I've tried this.  For me, it means that each drink costs me around $20 - $30...even playing slow!  🤣   I laugh, but I'm really not kidding.   I have Drinks on Us on my upcoming cruise because I used a casino offer to book (not sure why they sent one...I don't gamble much.  My ex-husband did, so maybe that's why?).   Anyway, I'm thinking I'll lose $$ on the deal if I try to get my drinks in the casino...plus that's just not where I want to be.  So I'm getting Cheers.  I'm the only one over 21 in my group (traveling with my kids and their friends) so I only have to pay for Cheers for one.

IF you have better self control than me...there is nothing to say you can't make this strategy work.  But they are betting you don't!!!

After a bit of gambling on a recent Sunrise cruise - just enough to earn DoU on the third night of a four night sailing - and far less (a couple hundred points apiece) on a Mardi Gras sailing, we were disappointed but not surprised when we didn't receive any 'good' casino offers.  Our (I suspect) resident offers were significantly better than the casino offers we received for six weeks after our 'heavier gambling' cruise.

Then, miracle of miracles, we suddenly got put on the 'valued' list this past weekend.  We both have three good casino offers - one for DoU in the casino for 2pax, one for DoU everywhere with $500 freeplay, and one for DoU everywhere with $200 freeplay.  Neither of the 'everywhere' offers mention a companion, but we're hoping that since we both received the same offers, the players club will add the package to the other of us.  All three offers are for 'free' cabins - our deposit will be rebated as OBC, and we'll be responsible for port fees.

I'm quite happy to trade them bankroll for cruises - I don't mind making donations to the casino in lieu of normal payment.  I'm doubtful our level of play would usually earn even much of a discount, but I'll take it as long as they're offering.

My adult daughter and I sailed on the Breeze in mid-September on my casino offer giving me DOU anywhere on the ship.  When I went to the casino to get my sticker for my S&S card, they checked my account and gave my daughter DOU while in the casino.  So, it never hurts to check.  I'm not sure why I had to go get the sticker b/c it's my understanding that it is automatically posted to your S&S card, but I may be wrong.   It is certainly great to be back cruising!!!!

I have two upcoming cruises under this rate OUV and my travel agent said it didn't say Dou for either of them. Do the rates change?

If both you and your spouse received the DOU offer, the casino will honor it for both of you no matter which one of you actually booked the cruise.  If only one of you received the offer, it will only apply to that person.

We are booked with a drinks on us Casino rate (O1M), first time booking a casino rate.  How does this work with your sail card, do they put a sticker on it when you are checking it at boarding, or is this something you have to go to the Casino to activate once on board ?

I had DOU offers for the same cruise, same time but not the same offer as we booked under my husband's.  I emailed the casino department and they would not extend the DOU to me.

I guess it has to be the same offer then.  We just both got the DOU on Liberty and a few months ago on Freedom as well.
