What is one thing you wish Carnival did differently?

Breeze has it - different deck.  It was nice.

Even though they have a non smoking annex you still have to go into the main casino if you have any winnings and want to cash it out.

My wife can't stand cigarette smoke and played in a non smoking casino. Then realized there's no cashier there. I took her card to the smoking section and they wouldn't let me cash out without her signature. Doesn't seem right and Carnival needs to have a cashier in the non smoking casino.

Good suggestion, and it does seem to be an easy one to fulfill.

Do you mean late-night?

or is CCL now charging for room service no matter what time of the day it is?

Pretty sure they still have the free sandwiches cookies etc during the day. I meant 24/7 free room service. I don't mind if they have upcharge items on the menu, I'd just like to be able to get a BLT after 10PM if I want one.

So everyone who has posted being denied the shareholder OBC on these boards while using a rate open to the public are lying according to you?😒

I have yet to see someone claim it was a rate available to everyone and no additional benefits (like carryover OBC).

We have ordered free room service including (now) turkeyBLTs.

1A was a solo stateroom with 0 solo supplement back when I didnt cruise solo so didnt help me. I can remember the out cry when they went to 50% solo supplement on these cabins ... and then went to double occupancy to push family cruising they wanted to attract.

Now the new mardi gras even did away with 1A category designed for solos. Got one of the worst 1As I've ever seen on breeze last leg. Avoid for me. Bed in the corner so every time I turned over I hit the wall. It was a upper and lower. Paying double occupancy for these cabins is crazy.

Designed for solos originally when these ships were built. Very few have beds that push together.

I'd like to see them cater a bit more to solos myself. Give a perk at some loyalty level like rcl does.

That's just sad. Looks like it could be a jail cell.

If carnival kept them as solo cabins great, but charging  double supplement on a cabin that is one twin and one upper in the ceiling . ...wish they would go back to calling it a solo cabin like it was built as. TV too small and odd place, fewer closets, just the worst 1A, but I booked late.

Carnival turned away from solo and now wants them back.

I wish they would keep recipes as is and have more consistency throughout the fleet in MDR. Sad that they have changed the stuffed portobello mushrooms to a red sauce vs the cream sauce that I used to love!

Miss the Indian restaurant that was on Magic several years ago. That was our favorite place to eat! I know you can get Indian in the MDR but it’s nowhere near the same.

One change I would make is how Carnival takes and applies payments to a booking. I tend to make payments along the way when I can use an AMEX promo or something like that. It doesn't really matter when I'm traveling with my husband how the payment is applied. But last year I was booked for a girls cruise in one cabin with two of my girlfriends. I made some early payments to use my promo and was keeping tracking personally of my balance. But when our cruise was cancelled due to COVID and we went to rebook, our third friend didn't end up rebooking. 1/3 of the money that was paid toward this cruise was associated with her booking even though she didn't pay anything (I had even covered her deposit at the time of initial booking just for "simplicity sake"). In today's technology world, you would think there was a way they could better manage this process to ensure that every is made whole in the event of a cancellation. It should also be easy to split OBC's between cabinmates.

I would like for at least the deli to stay open later. I guess free late night room service would work just as well.

Better tasting popcorn even if I have to pay for it lol.

I would like all the cruise lines to have one non-dairy ice cream available in the MDR for a la mode desserts. Sorbet is fruity so it doesn’t go with a brownie.

I agree with those who would like a drink package that offered less than Cheers.

I can’t think of anything major I would like them to change.

More true live music and less DJ music.

I feel like each cruise I go on there is less and less live music in popular venues and more of a DJ presence.

You should try the Mardi Gras. Every evening there was at least 3 live music options. We really thought it was a step in the right direction.

White Tablecloths

Better and More Lido Selections and MDR selections ( every cruise ..there's one less option?)

Better Welcome Back Party ( now, it's " Gee, how fast can we get outta here)

More involved Cruise Director ( there all hiding now)

I found it odd (at least on Valor) that the “Indian vegetarian” selection is always the same.  Why not vary that?  I was hoping that they’d have Palak Paneer, but no.  It’s an easy dish to make and soooo good.  Whenever I go to Trader Joe’s I buy like 6 pkgs to have on hand.

Are they still doing the Welcome Back party?  When is it and how has it changed?
